Thread: Alex's Sketchbook
October 13th, 2008 #1
This is my first post here. I started drawing people and stuff about 2 years ago. Until then I had been working as a freelancer doing mostly logos and web stuff, which still take most of my time.
I don`t have any formal art education. I started drawing after I got a book that said something like "if you can write you name you can learn how to draw"

Is it a soldier? I also thought it was a medic until I noticed the gun.
Good faces, I recognise the first one. Is it from a game? Because the face reminds me of Kratos from God of War.
Keep it up!

Thanks a lot!!!
I intended him to be a russian soldier from WWII. Maybe the red accents on his hat and collar give the impression of a medic.
On the first head sketch, I wanted to make something like an archetype barbarian face. I was thinking about the Diablo II barbarian, but I see that it looks more like Kratos without the goatee.

I made a quick sketch of a creature and I intend to paint it. I thought I`d get some feedback/criticism on it first. I want it to be some arctic predator with white fur and everything.

Hi everybody. I painted a barbarian character. I would like to hear some crits.
