obid> thx. I suggest taking figure drawing classes if you haven't already.

imglue>Gracias. no fui, porque estaba y sigo estar muy ocupado con la escuela. y ademas no tenia el dinero.

mcm>thx for the compliment Jon. It means a lot.....and yeah...its a tie I'm wearing. It had to be a contemporary self portrait, so I put the tie on and added the hood for extra coolness. (doesnt really make me cool, but I dont care)

    will> I totally rule? sweetness...thx

heres some quick gestures in my fig drawing class. Im more about designing figures these days, as opposed to copying exactly what's up there. There so many people at my school trying to do that, with formulas and exact analytical theories that all their drawings end up looking the same. So Im trying to be different, along with a couple of friends of mine...Alec and Andrew. Enough chit chat, here you go.

    They're either 1, 2, or 5 min gestures.

Holy crap dude you are a machine.

I knew you were hiding the GOODIES!!! Man that SP is really good, you have learned so much from even just your classes.

Yeah making a canvas is fun . I have never painted a master copy. What does the original look like, is the assignment to copy it exactly as it is or reinvent upon it?

Your gesture drawings are amazing, so much contour and definition. Just beautiful what can I say. You have the ability to give emotion with your expressive contours.

Post more often, this is the stuff.,..

man the stuff that you have been puttin out lately is rocking. The SP is especially nice, i love the lighting. keep pushing your gestures, i can tell that you want a style all your own, themore you do and the harder you push, soon every will know which drawings .ink did out of a whole group of them

Heya I.was.ink - remember me? I have been very busy recently and somehow missed your thread. You have come a looooong way. Your figures are amazing. I like the energetic lines which - at least to me - come out very confident, just as if you always know exactly where to put them without having to erase. Just great. Some of your figure constructions remind me of Egon Schiele - coincidence?

Keep working, Art Center seems to offer you the time of your life!

Nice gestures sink man! I will be interested to see where you go based on this statement:

Im more about designing figures these days, as opposed to copying exactly what's up there. There so many people at my school trying to do that, with formulas and exact analytical theories that all their drawings end up looking the same. So Im trying to be different, along with a couple of friends of mine...Alec and Andrew
I will be looking for what discoveries you make so I can glean them from you
