    Spoilt for choice

Okay, I've created a thread here and on Digitalwebbings that I'm looking for an artist for a webcomic. I thought that I might get 4-6 applications, 8 if I'm lucky. I thought it would be great if there would be 2 or even 3 "good" artists among them, so that I have a bit of choice. Instead, I have already gotten 45 applications in three days with so many "good" and even "very good" artists among them that it's getting overwhelming.

Do you have any advice how to make the right choice? Even if a few of the way too many promising applicants should not be *that* interested in the project (which is very important in this case), I am afraid I have to roll dice in the end...

I would give priority to those who have completed more paid jobs.

That at least gives you a guarantee that they have delivered in the past.

Thanks for your input. It helped a little bit.

I have made up my mind in the meantime, by the way. At least to some extend.
