Those watercolors are breathtaking. Superb skills with that difficult medium.
Is there a chance you tell us how you paint them?
    Thank you, my friend.

Hey man, wow, your watercolors are super.

Before I continue on that track, were you in prauge at the conceptart workshop, saw the drawing of of a sculpture in prauge from 05?

Your watercolors are amn, love the freshness in them. I'm saving these for inspiration. I can only suggest that you keep on doing these. Hope I'm not rude by saying that they are stronger than you digital and imaginative work. The confidence in the watercolors is what strikes me the most.

And a merry christmas to you

Yeah the watercolors stand out to me. Some of the digitals seem overworked in comparison. Anyways, great work!

I wonder how you manage to get those crisp edges and fine details with watercolours. Very impressive stuff

    Katzenminze- thanks!

timpaatkins- I've never heard of Stanislaw Zoladz, I'll look for him in web... As for my pallet- to be honest I remember only to colors- mars brown and indigo I just use the pallet that is in the box of watercolors that I bought once. When I run of one of them I just refill the box. But it's been a while since I've been refilling it and I just don't remember the names now..

    Murgen- Thanks

Chupacabra- Thanks man Maybe I'll create a small 'making of' some day and you'll se how it's done. This should be the most efficient way. But I don't know when I'll have time to do it so be patient

    gustavo desimone- Thank you

Pencilator- Thanks. No, I haven't been on the conceptart workshop in Prague. At this time I new nothing about conceptart- I was still saving money for a wacom And as for the watercolors being stronger than my imaginative work- I've created muuuch more watercolor/ink images than imaginative/concept artworks. I think that my watercolor 'philosophy' is much more developed, I'm still searching my place in the digital world

Mikko K- Thanks. You're the speedpainting master so no wonder they seem overworked...;]

Troll Skelking- small brush is the answer small brush and attention to details. I'm prefer to use a small brushes and paint very very quickly rather than to use a big brush and simplify things to much...

    mariusz- thanks!

Great style. I love the Italian landscapes. I've been to Florence and Sienna and San Gimanano and I think I've actually got photos of the very same spots that you've depicted.

Your digital style is wonderful. I love your lighting. It looks natural and somewhat, like, stage-like.

Great work! Like everyone's said, your watercolors are very striking. The medium is a mystery to me, you look like you have a very steady hand when painting those buildings!

Your latest personal digital work is also the one I like the most. It tells a great story, has great action and is wonderfully rendered. The only crit I would have is the poses of some of the smaller monkeys, I think they could be pushed a bit more.

Nice work! Look forward to seeing more.

    Thanks guys
Zergaloth- I'll find a way to make a movie "making of" I hope so anyway...
Some more watercolors- first attempts to watercolor portraits. I've never done this before so this is rather experimental stuff...

I am in awe of your control in water colors, they are absolutely phenomenal, in my oppinion! The way you render light in water is great...

The latest piece has a really good overall theme, very consistent.. I think the clouds shouldn't be as cartoony as they are now, the apes seem pretty realistic in a warped way but your clouds are just flat-out Hercules-like, if you know what I'm talking about

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize you had posted additional material! Those water colors are almost better than the previous ones... My jaw is on the floor.

    MY SKETCHBOOK

I know it's all been done before, I want to do it again. I want to do it again.
