Hey shalite, I see that you keep working, it's fine. For the last painting, there is some mistake : the kind of tower is not perpendicular to the horizon line It's dificult to know what type of landscape you have painted, sea ? or other ? And I'm not really sure of this, but I think there is perspective mistakes with aircrafts. So I really advice you to see the environmentoring's sub-forum on the mentoring section, it will really help you So keep working hard !!

Ooh, sorry for replying your comment just now X_X thanks for visiting my sketchbook!

I like your sketchbook, it certainly has a fresh kind of feeling.... Youths these days. *coughs*

I LOVE the tigers. It's surprisingly cute! And for the humans, well, anatomy's still a problem, but you're tackling it so I guess that's okay!

Good luck! I would love to see more!

Walid D- Yeah, it was really just whatever came to my hand. Thanks for that though, there is quite a lot of good stuff there. :] I think I'll try a few of those depth exercises.

    bharat- Haha, thanks. [the irony]

Trefle Hey, thanks so much. :] And yeah, I've been trying to work on that, though I still need to find an anatomy book that I can study, because it's not the same on the computer.

    KanoaRogers- lulz

Walid D & Jasper Flick- I've ah... well, there probably is no excuse for not drawing, and I have been, a little, but I've been neglecting to post because it's either not worth it or just speedpaints of meaningless stuff.

Actually, for the whole November, I've been writing something that I really hope I can finish.

Eh, here, something I managed last night while in a semi-writer's block.

lilnebo- |D; eheh, I'm a jack-of-all-trades master of none pretty much. You own me in art. X]
Eheh. .__.' yeah, no you don't want to see my photography and you're already kicking me and I'm just about your age right now or in less than a week actually. 8D!
Yeah, I have a way of making bad things sound great; years of practice? I've updated the summary to something less generic and full of words that automatically seem like a great story. |B; I've got this site that I'm slowly adding a chapter on to every now and then as I go along.
I'd like to see your writing.
    ~

gjklshflksgj some stuff I tried to draw. D: I apparently have to get back into art soon so I don't forget how to draw.

    Meissner- Actually, fourteen tomorrow~ 8D
    Thanks, man.

Fshoo- Thank you. :] I really need to get some more of those in; it's mostly CG as of now.
    ~
    oil paint-y goodness.

For the last one, I wouldn't mind a bit of critique. So far on the list I have make horse bigger/rider fit more on saddle, fix lighting [make steel shine more],
adjust low sky colors [yellowish?] but if you can expand on any of those, that's cool, too. I'm going to fix it up soon, like after I finish that crapload of homework that I pushed off until today. D:

it's very interesting seeing the improvement throughout your SB. You've come on a long way since the first drawings (and they were cool as well). On your latest pieces, i commend your use of tone and colour. The composistion on the bottom one is well thought out. The only thing I would say is maybe start trying to define shapes a little clearer, with harder edges. Easiest way to do that is with different brushes and/or the lasso tool. Good stuff!

    Well... HAPPY BIRTHDAY
    /singshappybirthdayforshalite <---gotta love this emote :p
What most ppl might ask you: How does it feels to be 14?... lol
    Anyways thx for checking my sb, yours looks a w e s o m e.
When I saw the link: "Sb of a 13 year old" I thought it was a joke but hell no!
Wow like others said, I wished I'd found my vocation sooner too.
There's tons of improving since the 1st posts
I wont be able to crit much on the digital things because i havent done any yet but i rly like the portrait and the scene with those knights
I'd suggest more studies, those on page 4 were really good. The tiger ones are well done too I rly hate doing hair haha or any fluffy thing.
Might add date/time taken on some pieces? for a future reference
    Keep it up!

TheChevver- Thanks so much, man. That one is the only one I really tried to give composition a glancing thought, xD; so glad it worked out. I guess I have a weakness for just blotching things out with a big brush if I don't really know what to put. x_o; I'll work on it for this piece; however, I'm not using Photoshop, it's ShiPainter.

Wanna- Haha, thanks. :] It feels great to be fourteen, but then again, I feel like I should be even better so xD; ah, never ending circle. No problem, and thank you.
xP Eheh, I've been drawing nonstop for two years. It's really no big deal since I hang out a lot with artists my age on Oekakis all the time. They're pretty amazing too; although most of them are anime artists.
Alrighty, more studies it is! But I don't have my trusty scanner any more so they won't be that great quality. x_o; And I dunno... I think the general day something was done usually suffices for my archives. xP Eh, I might change that some day.

Walid D- C: Thank you~ I shall try. I'm still juggling my novel so I'll see how much I can get in every day.

    Meissner- Thanks.

xD; Ah, I get that a lot. I need to try to use something other than 'waters' on ShiPainter.
    ~
New icon. I'm not really sure what to go with, since that black and white portrait of the boy looking up is my signature thing, but I'll give that a shot.

Monochromatic fun~ this was done without a reference, so anatomical critique is appreciated. I gotta get back into refs.

    Thumbs up

    Hello there Shalite!

Thanks for visiting my SB. I looked at your work and I am really impressed. Awesome stuff for a 13 year old. Keep it up! Damn if I was this determined at that age, who knows where i would be right now. I really like your colored pieces. They make up in atmosphere what they lack in say perspective or anatomy, but hey, anything can be learned in time, if you put your mind to it. So keep up the good work and I'll be checking out your progress.

Hey Shalite, thanks for dropping by my book. You've got a lot of nice things going on and much improvement already Your digitals look kind of blurry and muddy - you might want to try a more opaque, hard edged brush. Also remember that value is much more important than color. Keep up the good work~

Galador- Thanks. |D; Fourteen, now. And there comes up anatomy again. I really must try more...

Fishspawn- Thanks. Shall try; I'll be so stupid as to blame my program, ShiPainter, which has brushes very unlike Photoshop and has a wet application. Thanks for the value tip.

Enviro fun. I've been doing homework, writing some more, doodling, line doodling, complaining about writer's blocks and just loitering on sites lately.

Meissner- Okay, I'll try. |D I'm afraid my laptop will crash if I try higher than 2000pxls. *shrug* I'll give it a shot. And that's a great suggestion~

miguelslo- Thanks so much. |D; Eheh.

I've been writing mostly, drawing only when I get a writer's block, then rushing right back to my novel, haha. I'm starting to get back into my sketchbook, but it'll be slow going until I get most of my novelling done.

Also, I made myself a writing dragon to help. :] Character should belong by copyright to Chris D'lacey, but my version is a little modified.
