Painter X UI issues
Anyone know why this happens and what can be done to fix it? Notice the brush pallette and the boxes for "preserve transparency" box is gone.

How long were you working in Painter without saving your files and closing the program?
How many other programs were running while you worked in Painter?
Read my Sticky thread, Keeping Painter 6 through Painter X.1 Running Smoothly, Updated February 6, 2008 at the top of this forum.
Painter X has some bothersome screen refresh issues so it may happen again, but limiting the amount of time in each Painter session and closing other programs should help.

Thank you for responding Jin. This is how it was when I opened it up. No other programs are/were running. One day it was fine and the next day this is how it opened. I think its a problem on my computer ...maybe it updated the day before or something. I tried to reinstall with the same results. I had this problem once before about a year ago and it kinda fixed itself eventually.

It happens quite frequently with me
I just go to windows -> arrange palletes - default,
since I don't use tons of custom windows, that helps.
Really hate when it happens after drawing in full-screen mode for a while and going back
