From what I can see, your work looks great. However almost all your images have been removed!! I'm a little disappointed because I would love to see more.

    Bonerton, hahaha.

Solid updates man, I think a good measure for progress you're making is if, even on a bad day, what you do trumps what you've done years ago, at your peak.

really carving some forms in the paper.

I don't remember this. Perhaps I just wasn't inspecting his penis close enough.

so yeah, I haven't updated in a month, got a lot of exciting things going on though. First of all I got 2 pieces into the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition. I was absolutely floored when I found out. The quality of pieces that made it in is amazing and I am so honored to be amongst them. Then a couple weeks later I was informed that I had been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from them. I'm still in shock. The awards gala is May 8th at the Society in NYC, maybe I'll meet some of you there. Here's the link:

and here's my award winner: http://www.soicompetitions.org/?sect...entry_id=14268

here's my other piece that got in: http://www.soicompetitions.org/?sect...entry_id=14263

here's my classmates that got in: http://www.soicompetitions.org/?sect...itution_id=100

and here's the winners' gallery: http://www.soicompetitions.org/?sect...petition_id=30

(I know, enough with the friggin' links)

and last but not least here's some figure work from earlier this morning:

I just got this new sketchbook from the Renaissance Festival in Tampa, and it's friggin' sweet. It's hand bound leather with hand made paper and nice leather stitching along the edges. Anyways I I have 3 landscape copies due for my next painting class so here's the 1st, it's by Turner:

so for our concept class we had to take one of our 100 silhouettes and put the character into an environment. Our teacher wanted the painting done in Painter X so this is my first foray into doing a "finished" color piece with painter... kinda want to pull my hair out. Ah well, here's the character that I used:

    and here's the painting:
