    NightVision - thank you
Kim_bot - haha thanks I actually used myself as reference for that one. those are done with acrylic
Zeus12 - thanks a lot man, there's still plenty to come

in our concept class we had to take pictures of textures and then find characters in them, and then refine those. here's what I got so far:

Dude, Thank you for posting your sketchbook, I feel smarter just for looking at it.

You have some really f-f-fresh studies, your skill shines through, I was actually surprised to read you're still at college.

    Keep doing what you're doing!

Helioth - thanks a lot man. haha I guess I'm still in college cuz I'm a lazy bum and don't pursue any jobs, mostly out of fear I guess haha
hunchback - thanks, but digital art and myself don't get along too well, this is about as far as I can take a piece right now, but hopefully I'll learn sometime soon. and thanks for the asspats lol
Hygami - thanks but I can't take credit for the ide, it's my teacher's. but agreed that it does produce some crazy things, especially when you're sleep deprived like me hahaha

so here's one more texture creature from this morning, this one was inspired by the Moira and the Norns of Greek and Norse mythology, respectively:

Brilliant approach on those digitals! Mind if I "steal" that idea?

Holy balls, that's really creative! I love how you make texture into characters! I've seen characters in snow, trees, rocks and reflections, but never thought aboutdoing this!

    And those helmet studies? Awesome.
