a study (not very inspired values I know) ->
..and another speedy fuck up, but I post it anyway
You're doing good, but I'm not really seeing any pencil work.
Drawing with a tablet is good, but you've still got to draw with the old pencil.I know someone asked for it earlier, but I'm more of a draftsman. I can't paint yet and can only give some advice (what little I have to give) based on pencil drawings. Overall, I'd just like to see how you draw with the pencil.
Paintings are nice though.
Wow, love your style. And you are just starting?! Amazing!

After a lot of trial and error I realized I'd rather be in the first category. From now on I'll study my ass off!
90 secs posemaniacs:
More 90 secs posemaniacs.
And some more.
More refined posemaniacs and some photo studies.

Have you ever painted or drawn before? You are very good with proportion from the start. There isn't the distortion you see in beginners. Also, your paintings are still rough, but you have a good grasp on volumes and colour values. I like how they are becoming more refined. Do you create the paletes yourself?
I haven't drawn since I was very little.
Proportions are one of my main concerns as for all the beginners mine were CRAP! So it took me a while to test all sorts of methods (lots of them) and I finally realized it's easy for me if I block the main shapes from the beginning as you can see in the animated gif. Other people are more confident with the line work (like yourself). Not me, I find it more difficult to use the pencil for example. But as they say - there is a way for everyone, you just have to find it, right?
Actually, I like them rough, not a big fan of too polished paintings. I love how jonny duddle works for example.
And yes, I create the pallets from the start myself. Even if they are different from the ref. The only rule for me is to look realistic.
So thanks for coming by, I'll keep watching your progress. Keep it up!
An old drawing
and a quick study
