Sprite Animation Weekly #9 - Icon
Feeling dizzy yet? It's Monday and we're taking it easy this week.
Week 9 - Icon
The challenge this week is to make an animated icon for the Sprite Activity threads (the little preview image that goes to the right of thread titles in the index). It can be anything but you might want to play off the "SAW" acronym or just some animated SAW letters or create some sort of little mascot. The maximum size is 100 x 100 pixels.
Might do some sort of simple voting in next weeks thread if we need to decide what icon to use.

Ahhh this looks like it'd be a great one to take part in, but I'm leaving tonight and won't be back until this Sunday I'll try to throw something together when I get back, but otherwise I'll just look forward to what comes out of this!
Best of luck guys!

I'm so motivated and willing to work on it for several hours, but I have no good idea (I wished to combine everything, mascot, SAW, maybe even the whole title, 100x100 pixels are so much )... that was never my strong point and the summer is suddenly over here, I see only rainclouds every day
I definitely will create something.

Shinin, I'm also out of ideas for this one :s.... but there are several days yet to try and concoct something if there is time. Like Onir, I'm certainly interested to see what comes out of this.

Missed out on last weeks animation doing chow, so I took this one for a spin
Had a weird idea to see characters in the "SAW" text.
I will have to see if I find time for some of my other ideas later.

oh, the first one! playful not transparent, though.
I think it's high time for some drawing, I spend my evenings in a warm blanket with a cup of tee in my Love's room (mine is cold), neglecting my dear activities
I plan to use some bigger, nice letters. I loved them in Commodore-64 and very old pc intros/demos... good pixelthings have charm, so I'm glad we have these activities

shiNIN: Yup, decided not to do it transparent because I wanted that color instead of the lighter value. I can do one without the bg also.
Camara: Did a quick search, found these links
I hope they are helpful

nice ones, guys
Stephan, it's lovely, ideas, colors, I like it much
this is NOT my week, the weather was terrible, my photoshop crashed but I'm worse, I feel I can't do anything though I have multiple plans and strict deadlines I didn't give it up yet, a little mascot may be possible... or not. (on my own forum I have a suicide smiley for such times I've collected many smilies, I always loved great animgifs, but till these activities, I never did one)

Bwahaha! Those are great you guys!
Uni sucked away my life this week, so I couldn't get to make a contribution. Pooh.

Good lord guys, amazing work!
flashrabbit - your pieces are amazing! Love the style and the playfulness in both (especially in the first one, the flipping of the face works great).
Sinix - lol cute, simple, and effective Nice little guy, would definitely work as a mascot.
Stephan R - Yea I'm with Sinix, how in the world is that messy?! lol beautiful work, love the colors and the overall playfulness.
I'd be psyched about any of these icons honestly, all of them are really nice. I'll try to make something for this at some point, but schoolwork is going to be quite intense for a bit until I can catch up a little.

Sinix: It was done in photoshop and swapping to Imageready. The part that translated in my mind a bit better were the knights reading "as knights" and the area where they get pummeled into the ground. Fun stuff, thank you
shiNIN: Thanks! It's fun to be involved in this eh? Can't wait to see yours.
Onir: Thank you, ya i just love all these. Sinix and Flashrabbit are machines, really inspiring.
