Incremental update ... can you see this ... am I reaching you ... anyone ...? anyone ...? If there is anyone left alive out there, meet me at the water cooler everyday before sunset ... I have food, water (from the cooler) and I can protect you...

Delightfully vulgar stuff, I like your brush work, very unique. There is a little bit missing in the 3-dimensionality of some of the forms here and there, highlights approaching edges too closely and such, but great sketchbook, keep it up!!!

    Frazetta study

Recently Frank Frazetta passed away at the age of 82. He left us with a great body of amazing work. Some of which can be seen here. I thought I'd do a study of his work. My effort is below, and a copy of the original is here. I hope to do more on this piece.
    His work is inspirational.

Sooo ... it's been quite a while since I was on here, not sure why I'm back to be honest ... kind of lost interest when my day job got really busy, and despite it still being busy I've found time to have a dabble.

First is a study from a photo ... second is from imagination, although I did reference horse photos for the horse body. It is unfinished.

I've tried a little cross-image processing (my own made up terminology, at least I think it is)

    What do you think?

mass87 ... I think you're right, in reality this would be causing her some pain, I tried to replicate it personally and just couldn't do it ... saying that, I was going for a dynamic pose and I think I got what I wanted. I appreciate you taking the time to comment, thanks for dropping by.

Started the environment around her ...

Such creepy stuff! But quite cool. You're rendering is great, my only critique would be with your human characters, particularly the last two is that they seem a touch too posed. Especially this most recent one, it doesn't seem to be a very natural way to stand after slaughtering some aliens. Even if she is trying to show off and be "oh yeah, I totally kicked @$$" to someone in front of her. I think it's the position of the legs and her left hand they're too "oh look, I'm a pretty model"

Anyway, just my two cents. Keep up the good work!

wooden mango... Thanks for your comments, posing is something I'm constantly at odds with. Maybe it's to do with my day job as an animator, always trying to make it look dynamic! ...
I will work on improving them. Cheers.
