Another sketch ... a little more imaginative this time. Unfortunately my scanner's not great.
Is it just me or is CA having some problems?

Bit of change for me ... something a little more ... grown up.
an attempt at a portrait of my youngest daughter. It's from photo ref, when I've gone as far as I want to with this I will post the original photo as well.

    It's a work in progress

    Thoughts and critiques most welcome

I thnk I've done all I'm going to do on this. My daughter, Daisy, of whom this painting is of, wasn't very impressed.

    Fail.
    Harsh but fair.

It's a very nice drawing of you daughter. But the left side of her cheek is a little more out wide and her hair is kind of covering the rest. But am sure you knew that because you are not happy with the way it come out but come back to it and work on it .Trust me you will have a little more willingness to finish it.

    Cheer's ...
    Love your sketchbook.

Very nice work on the newest piece there.
Have you tried swapping the picture horizontally? I think you'll see pretty much every error if you do that.

Swap the photo around too for ultimate reference hope that helps.

@Dibujio:Guru - You're right, I do see issues with it still and hopefully I will re-visit it and put them right at some point, I did however feel I'd got to a point where I was happy with what I'd done.

@Loathsome - I'm right with you there, it's something I've always done with my other bits and bobs but just failed to do with this one.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment.

Having enjoyed doing the painting of my youngest daughter, I'm going to continue to paint portraits of all my family, next stop, my eldest daughter.

It's a work in progress and I will continue posting as and when I update it.

Ok, I think I'm done with this one now ... just a few minor tweaks to the eyes and light on the face. Also an animated gif to show progression.

@derss - Thanks for taking the time to comment, can you elaborate on what you think is off with the head and neck? I might be able to address it.

Just added a little more shading ... going to have a crack at painting it.
