    Need help with current sketch

Ok, so I have this sketch, and the problem is that the gun does not look like it is on the same plane as the body, and I need suggestions/tips on how to fix this. Also how do you take pictures out of your gallery once you have put them in? Thanks!

I think you could use some perspectivity studies before making a drawing from such a difficult angle... the human figure has problems too, not only the gun. his hands aren't the same size, the left one isn't well shaped, and there's something with the legs... the shins are too short even with foreshortening and I can't see a normal right shin under those folds, there are no room for one, the shape of a shin is far from a cylinder.
    I hope I'm understandable, I can't express myself well enough, I fear.
oh and I'm extremely bad with perspectivity and foreshortening myself, but I am able to realize far more I can't correct... but still, take my opinion with a grain of salt.

It's the foreshortening. Your mind wants you to draw it at the actual length so you end up drawing it that long even when it is not that long. Look at some examples of human figure (and guns if you can find them) and notice not that it is a human figure, but the literal shape it makes. A thigh may become a very flat ellipse and may disappear at a strange point in space or may be wider at the knee than at the hip, even though it is reversed in reality. At least... that's what they told us during figure drawing.

"It is not enough for a man to know how to ride; he must know how to fall."

    Try: http://basangpanaginip.blogspot.com/...made-easy.html

Try putting a grid on your character, and use the measurements for the hand to measure the proportions.

Look at how your hand near the gun is laying, make it the simplest shapes as cubes, and note the gun will follow the same direction and angle.

    Planes.

    Hello Rekcless!

Im not a fun of drawing guns...but anyway...

I just blurry mi vision and start moving my pencil around the planes, just try to feel them, it comes with practice, nothing more than that.

Hope it helps, i first rotated the weapon where i think by "eye" where it will be, and them i checked out doing this grid, try it out, is very fun.

Hope to help, plenty of action here on CA!

    Diego.

Edit: Ashes Nei says right, read a little if you cant do it at first...then practice!
