Wonderful updates.. love the hell out of your pastel stuff, the painting with the dark trees and yellowish sky is super-enjoyable. also that last figure drawing you did on the grid paper is very extremely choice. You are the most awesomely messy artist I know. Keep em coming and i'll try and too 4 b doing the same. Been working on anymore character/golem designs? Also: do even more stuff from life, it looks like your getting alot out of it XD xoxoxoxo
Mat-thanks man, I've been away from a solid internet connection for awhile. this seems to happen to me on a regular basis...
Scrumption Tom- EEEEEE!!!!!! I have a few new design stuff for the golem works but no way to get it up here yet, though I do have some more chalk shits.
These are some of the drawings I've done for an art show I have coming up soon. It's my first solo show!
Sorry my phone has been off, it died and I haven't been able to replace it yet. I may have lost all my contacts. Send me an e-mail with your number to email@example.com and i'll give you a call soon as i get a phone!
That hillbilly bear piece is killing me! Such awesome characterization. Everybody looks dumb and ugly, but somehow endearing
I've decided to get back into using my tablet and have been working on scribbles here and there, but decided tonight to dive into something more polished. I started thinking about making a mock up 2d sidescroller and started on the background image. I'm pretty happy with parts of it and I stumbled on some little ideas I plan using for new pieces.
And the second image is the final piece for my art show I had in January. The whole show was focused on my Yellowstone landscapes. This last one is 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall. Mixed media between house paints and chalk pastels. It will be worked on some more, to really push the depth, but I only had a night to get it started/done, and that's as far as I got.
Keep up with the blog THOMAS, we be posting.
Thanks, you're the muse for my redneck mythic epic.
Nice textures, I also like the fact that most your stuff has lots of things in it, wich makes them entertaining, I spent some nice 5 minutes only with the bear thing. The Syle is also quite original. I¡d only try to work further on line quality and brush stroke economy, still, looks cool m8.
The "fuck shaving" piece might be my favorite thing you've done to date!
I love the style of the letters! I love how free and uninhibited that and the "darkwing and the duck" piece are. You are kicking some major ass here lately. That foreshortening sketch loots very dynamic, great thing for you to be practicing! I just can't end a sentence here without an exclamation point!
That "screenshot" sketch is also very cool.
Working on developing a 2D RPG platformer. The latest batches of designs and all the latest fantasy stuff is all related. Recently I bought a new sketchbook and have dedicated it to developing full page illustrations of the setting I'm working on. Additionally I have been working on the background environments for the game.
This post includes some of the first drafts the project as well as the book cover.
