    Looking forward to you updating this one more often dude

    Quick crit is that you often make the gap between the nose and mouth too long, which gives quite an ugly look to characters, so it works fine with trolls and stuff, but you might wanna work some more on facial proportions. Keep it up

    I started my selfportrait and damn they are hard. I wanna start making them a routine in the hope that they'll ever look like me. I first started out in color but i got freaked out by the fact that the skin exists out of 10000 frickin different colors. So the first ones are gonna be b/w. This one isn't even near finished but mom told me to quit and i still felt like posting. It's not done and it sucks, doesn't look like me etc. I'll just start a new one tommorrow. Learned a hell of a lot though.

    Hey all,

    @Lilnebo: Yeayea, this time I will keep it updated promise.
    @Miles: Yea ur right, thnks.
    @TheGnoll: Thanks man.
    @Miles: Lol I wouldn't really like to call it my best because it sucks:p.

    Ok here is today's portrait. It's like waay better then yesterday's which is not too weird because it completely sucks. I'd love to get it down but it'll be fun goin through this book at a later stage.
    THe portrait took way longer then planned like 3 hours but in the end it did started looking like me. So yea I'm satisfied.

    I guess my problem in my earlier paintings was that i never really painted from life or used ref. I bassicly made my stuff up. I did do a lot of anatomy studies so the form wasn't to bad but the way I rendered wasn't quite realistic. I hope to change that by doing a lot of these portraits or just drawings from reall life.

    Nice improvement over the first self portrait dude. Like the way you handled the dual lightsources and the values. When you get time, do another and really tighten up the edges and the blending, see what you can make. Also, colour dude! colour

    Here a new one. Still WIP. It's taking me ages but drawing in colour is just really fucking hard. I learned its often optical illusion that when something looks blue it is actually a pink really saturated. This is a lot of fun. Will finish this one tommorrow and start something new. Now I'm of to bed its midnight.
    GOOD NIGHT!

    EDIT: Ow ofcourse im reffing this from a photograph from holiday.

    @Miles: Thnk u

    Ok I cleaned up yesterday's wip and did some smoothing and correctioning. This one is pretty close to looking like me. Also was the first pic i did painting in color for a long time. I learned so much about color with this one. Now homework is screaming for my attention blah. It's not really finished yet. But I currently don't have time to finish it and i'll just start another after ive got my homework down.

    cheers
