    FINALLY I'm posting something!

    Hello everybody.

As I still feel like a neophyte in the forum, I'll just re-introduce myself - I'm a illustrator/concept artist for IMGNATION Studios here in the south of Brazil.
These are three of my most recent pieces, I'll post more as soon as I finish some personal projects.

    The images, in order:
    - Citadel Castel
    - Death Waits
    - Breaking The Seal

Crits are always welcome, as usual!
    All the best.
    Rafa

Hey man I really dig your organic style. Very sweet. The one crit I have among this awesome work is the rock that the crow is sitting on. There's not enough contrast between the water and it. It looks like the water is about to flow over top of it. I mean dang, a simple highlight on that and maybe the bird's beak and presto!

your still getting stars sir great stuff.

    Hmm.. Pretty good.

I think that the first image could be vastly improved if you varied your edge control a bit (particularly, on the castle itself). Some edges feel just a little too sharp IMO.

With the last piece, there seem to be too many overstated low-opacity strokes on the tree. I think the brush economy could be improved by some simplification with opaque brush strokes. The rendering on the step where the figure is standing is fairly well done.

Regarding both the first and third pieces, the underlying drawing of the architecture could be vastly improved. A lot of the contours seem wobbly. It might be due to some perspective issues.

IMO, all 3 pieces are fairly strong overall. Good job

I love the swirl of birds in the bottom image. So much detail yet so subtle at the same time.

I love the illustrators who show up all shy (like Rafael here) and then blow you out of the water. My only crit - and this is coming from an amateur - if you're a professional with a job in the industry, you don't need to be shy.
Especially not you, rafael. This is good stuff.

    WOW what a response!!!
Thanks, THANKS for all the kind words, I'm embarrassed with such cool incoming!

Tombo: Thanks for the words man! In fact, I wish I could help you out, but I don't know nothing! I just draw by instinct, I don't have some (very) specific way of doing things. But I appreciate the kindness!

RoboBobo: Yeah thanks! I'm impressed with the amount of insights here man! I'll just try doing these little details as you've kindly suggested me, I think it will work pretty nice! Thanks for the advice!!!

Havoc-DM: Thanks a lot dude!!! In fact, I have the tendency of making some really sharp edges, but it's just one of the things I need to improve - right now, it's (unfortunately) part of my "style", HeHE but I'll work it out!
About the architecture thing, I really didn't wanted to render all the details in a very realistic way, it wasn't my goal... But I know that the "forced" perspective in the last piece could be more elaborated, I just intended to make it insane!
Wow, your words gave me some great insights, I'm very honored! Thanks for everything!

illustratorwayne: IhIhIH thanks dude!!! I really appreciate that!

smash.rs: If wasn't for this fella here guys, I wouldn't even be here. I know I'm biased, but... Thanks for everything man!!! You are the number one!!!

woodbert: thanks pal, it's great that you enjoyed it!!!

povorot: Hahaha I don't even know what to say to you man, what a warmth - I'm pretty shy!!!
But hey, I'm so glad by you words, hope you like the next works...
Thanks A LOT for your kindness!!!

Ericus: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!!!

Jorge: O quê??? De onde você é cara???
HaHaHahA valeu velho, vou postar mais sim, espero que curta!!!

No words can express my gratitude for all the warmth and support - I guess I'm already feeling like home here! I'll try to post as much as I can, as soon I can deliver some of my next personal projects here. I know now that I'm surrounded with the best, and coolest artists in the world, and I couldn't be happier! I have SO MUCH to learn here guys... The future looks very promissing!
Thanks for everything, sorry for my english!

awesome work man. I really like the 'brushy' feel of your work without huge giagantic brush strokes being visible. keep it up!

Looking for other Denver area artists!

    You are all so kind!

Siamese Goldfish: thanks a LOT my friend! In fact, I'm still trying to achieve this effect with small brush strokes, but if you feel it that way already, it's a good thing!

EdDron: Thanks pal! Your words make me feel happy.

Corspufo: No words for the kindness man! I know what you mean about the thumbnails, and if I caused you this impression, I feel very, very honored!

I'm working on to put some more images soon, thanks for the support!
