    nude

    This was a 4 hour charcoal drawing. This is my first figure drawing class and I can't stress enough how important figure drawing is, I'm learning so much. Anyhow, its not completely finished and I used some really toothy paper that I'm not really happy with. Any critique would be appreciated;

    try setting your image name from .jpg to .txt and that should allow you to post a pic rather than a link...

    Joshua,
    I'm really glad you posted here. I just had my midterm review and my teacher said I need to work on line (if you noticed I don't use line, just value changes). I checked out your figure drawings on your site and your line work is very good, just what I needed. Thanks man!!

    i think it's really good - i've never had a figure class, so really the only crits i have are it's better than i could do If you're trying to learn the figure though, blocking and lines is really useful - at least, it has been for me so far - but if you're just making some art, i don't see anything wrong with just working in values....then again, i'm not a very good artist!
