    new slipknot

    is anyone else rather impressed with it?
    seems to me they've somehow...grown up alittle bit,musically.
    (can't speak for lyrics,i don't listen so much to that).
    psychosocial is the weakest song to me,beside that dreadful vermillion remix,but other than that i'm positively surprised. my fav so far is probably gematria. i like that it's alittle bit like stone sour,but on the whole abit more towards earlier albums,and most of all,seems alot more thought out than the previous one. atleast that's what it feels like.
    so,what's other's opinion on this?
    (and,if you don't like slipknot at all,please refrain from posting here)

    Hey , whats gotten into you Jake ? Music is also an art-form full of different styles. Just because a particular style isn`t your thing it doesn`t mean its the same for all people or badly executed. We are all Metalheads in some way , remember ? Always used to be a family and help each other. If you don`t like SK because its all Nu-Metal-new-age-shit then fine but thats just your opinion and you are sounding like the clicheč "Nu-Metal-new-age-shit fanboy" in your post. And now , go back and draw

    @Topic
    I am not a big SK fan but as i know myself i will probably give it a listen. Do they have a new music-vid ?

    If you say they've grown up I might see if I can give it a listen.

    Never been a fan (actually always had a bit of a disliking for them), but my interest has been ... "nudged" is the right word here - after pissed-off white trash red-neck evangelist conservative christians blamed the band for a school killing.

    Yes, people still do that around here, I slip you knot.

    well,official first single is psychosocial,but i feel it's actually one of the more mediocre songs on the whole. "gematria","gehenna" and "the cold black" (which is possibly most towards older albums) are more fun to listen to,see if you can find them somewhere. lyrically i can't say how much they've grown,but musically,it's alot better developed than all the other albums (guitars!)

    IT has nothing to do with them being nu-metal. Some nu-metal bands like Lamb of God, I like. I just dislike the band, for their music, not what ever sub-genres you place them in. And Carnifex, I'm not a big fan of CC either.

    True... I'd rather listen to CC than SK. I'm sorry I just REALLY dislike the band. No offense to you or any other fan, it's my opinion.
    And static x... is that a band?

    I'm liking it....although I'm not of the opinion that phsycosocial is the weakest song-I really dig the little drum bit that comes along half way in....all in all there are some fun time signatures thrown about, very fun drumming and some rather tasty solos, they may not be the "coolest" band to like, but if you dislike a band for that reason (this isn't directed at the above posts btw), then your a bit of a tard
