ICH, Mischeviouslittleelf Thank you guys!! I'm quite happy with my fairy queen, it was such a fun to draw...

I went on working on my missed entry for ChoW 144. I'm not satisfied with the image but I liked the idea of siamese twins, one black and one white...

I ,ike a lot lights, maybe here at work my monitor is a little too dark, but I see it confuse. If the object on the left is in her right hand I think the perspective of the object is wrong.
    Anyway: good job!

the sketch of the man with hat is very very cool. You could transform it in a finished painting or illustration!

G@m, MeTaL-Mike, Shardana thank you guys!

G@m you should aim at results far better than mine! Anyway I'm realizing that drawing well and having creative ideas is far more important than making a good render...

A little update. Messed with brushes and made a Rorschach test...

Peter Berkovski thank you! I wish I had more time (and less laziness) to bring my sketches to the next level.
The last one IS off. I based on some custom brush scribbles and the resulting pose is a bit funny...

    Some recent studies and sketches...

    maaaaan you've been busy!
loving those chows, the fairy, the siamese twins and baba yaga, some great ideas for Baba yaga's lighting.
You've been doing tons of studies too man, great job!
If you aren't satisfied with ideas, just open un your mind and get some inspiration from books (altho those take time to read as well), but seems to me you've already found a good source of topics in the ChOW
you should paint that dolphin, looks like a nice eserciccio on different materials

    ciao!

Great dude, some really outside the box concepts, always nice to see something a little alternative to the norm. Robotic dolphins anyone?

Gnoll hi man! I'll paint the dolphin sooner or later, I need to make exercise with techy stuff.
ChoW is a wonferful source of inspriration and having a deadline helps to overcome my natural laziness...

sandeepbarot, PeNcIl ReBeLlIoN thank you guys!

I really needed to make exercise in drawing both felines and robots and then the ChoW came out...
The raw texture use was inspired by some works by Andrew Ley (my favourite artist here on CA maybe).

Your stuff is really nice and teh sketchbook pages show yoour skills very well already. I am not completely sold by your digitals, I just think the colour choices aren't the best. Try using less saturated colours, it all looks a little plastic atm. Also I personally would suggest to keep away from gradients, even for backgrounds.

    Cheers

I don't like especially the design but the render is awesome! Try something with this kind of texture but with a more serious design, please!

Janos I don't have much taste for colors actually. I always end up using the most saturated colors hoping to combine them the right way... I try to repeat to myself I must use softer shades and hues but there's no way. I must practise more in that direction.

anjin I must practise more in tech design too...

GaussianRaider Sto disegnando sì, ma non abbastanza, troppe volte sono pigro e non porto fino in fondo gli studi e gli esercizi...

G@m I'm not convinced neither by the texture but I've kept it anyway just as an experiment. I was going after something similar to this.

Thank you for the critiques, people! More of them!

I tried to modify the design of the cat, I can't polish a turd but I really wanted to change those paws...

And a couple of exercises (they were meant to be exercises in using lighter and less saturated colors but missed the mark...)
