my first digital painting I've been working on...taking FOREVER
the squids were actually prismacolor pencil but I did smudge em up in photoshop
The first one with the skeleton, and the squid vs. toes ones are sick. Keep it upz.
finished the hand on this creature...almossstt doneee

and heeerre is the rest of the creature..still trying to get the face right
usually I take forever to paint so I thought I'd give a shot at speed painting
(which is about 1-2 hours for me)
this was basically an assignment to illustrate book one of paradise lost
so I chose to contrast how in the story satan talks of making a heaven of hell blablabla and contrasting that with how we tend to use technology as a way of getting that much closer to a heaven -mushed those two concepts together
these are the best of 10 I had 1 week to do

SHOW SOME LOVE AND CRITIQUE!!!!!
ps. shhhh on the wallet design
I'm terrified, but your paintings are fantastic.
I could be wrong, but I think with your digital stuff you're starting on a canvas too small, so it's looking kind of gritty? You can always downsize later on.

True progress means matching the world to the vision in our heads.
But we always change the vision instead.

well i did start out pretty small but it depends on which ones youre talking about.
The squids and the apple one are 300-500ppi
but the others i know what you mean. the paradise lost series i had a resolution limit of 120px
you've got a good arsenal of diversity going, i'm really enjoying it.
the figure studies from the first post have a really expressive line quality, and i'm digging the iconic simplisity of the design of the last wallet.
keep it up, its all working.
