    black and white for painting later...

    I'm gunna use this for a painting... (I'm now working on the painting, it's at the bottom of the page)
    here are some quick sketches, and an outline w/pretty much black and white...

    I REALLY like what you have going here. It just looks like the snowboarder is going to fall and hit powerlines. And I can't figure out how he got that high to start with. Perhaps you could move him to look like he's about to hit the slope in the very front?

    the "power lines" in the distance are the chair lift... the jump in the foreground is actually where he took of from... this is huge... he is doing a backside 360 grabbing mute (that grab is with your front hand on your front rail)... he is starting off with his right foot forward and spinning backward flying away from us... here the the photo I'm working from... I need to make where it drops off a little more contrasting...

    I’m having problems with the composition. The snow in the bottom half (even in the reference picture) cuts it in half. The top half is a lot stronger. He’s also very central. Your almost b&w rendition is a lot more interesting than the later pictures – the CA background does help. This could be very dynamic with a bit of cropping.

    this is the biggest thing I've painted in a while... it's 3' x 4'... I still have a long way to go on it...
