    "Oh, hi there."

I just wanted to make a picture to hang above my fireplace, should I ever own a fireplace. Something warm and inviting; something to greet me with a smile as I come home, soaked from the rain, after a long day of work.

I haven't done much in the way of straight-up photoshop painting and of course only want to get better, so let me have it, eh?

So I take it that you love Star Trek???......Well good job on the reflected lighting...and good luck getting that printed large enough to actually be seen as you walk in....

So warm and inviting, I feel like he's right here with me. Watching. Judging.

Seriously, this piece really pulls you in. My only crit is with the perspective of the chair and Riker himself. It feels like, given where he is in relation to the horizon line, he'd be tipped more towards the viewer, and you'd be able to see more of the top of his head and the seat of the chair. It feels like he's tipping back a bit, or the back two legs are shorter than the front two.

Ah Risa . . . wait, don't Trekkies generally hate Risa?

    haha thanks guys.

I actually haven't seen all that much TNG, but Riker is such a man's man that I can think of no one's approval that I'd rather have.

Risa, as a fact, is his favorite vacation spot.

I'm sure "A Weekend on Risa" is the name of a rather enthralling Riker/Picard/gamorrean slaver slash fic.

Omg, I love this picture. Only thing is his face, it seems like it's pulling forward. The features are fantastic but it looks like his face is making his forehead bulge out. Just, push his face back a little.

couple of minor crits: the foot on the floor should be darker as its sat in the shadow of the chair, the hologram door looks very flat compared to the rest of the pic, and lastly the lampshade looks like a leg! don't know if that was intentional or not! very nice piece though.

Thanks for the comments and crits everyone. I appreciate it.

P-WAF you've gotta be kidding me about the slash fic. I actually googled it quick but to no avail. Whatever, if it's true Riker would probably read it anyhow.

It's like his hair is attached to a head looking down at the book, and his face is looking at me instead...is his hair just like that?
