Some lifedrawings from today and DSG 1396.
Sorry about the crap scans, it's hard to scan A1 sized paper and my photos were even worse. They were either too blurry because of the low lighting, or too bright because of the flash.

Great to see you here – small internet! Haven’t seen your life drawings before and they’re pretty good. I like that dragon’s head.

    Thanks you guys. Much appreciated.

Took the train up the coast to Australia Zoo yesterday and had the time of my life! Having lived in Brisbane all my life, I'd never once been to this place and it just shows how much I've missed out. Such an awesome place and if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend a visit! I'll definitely be going back there in a couple of months to have another go.

Filled about 22 pages of my moleskine, here are some of the "better" attempts. My gestural drawing is still quite erratic and messy, hoping to become a little more sure of my lines eventually.

So that's what it's like to do a graphite drawing.... it's been so long, I'd forgotten

My only drawing from life drawing today. Well we did a couple of contour drawings, but I'm not gonna post those XP

This is supposed to be for my end-of-year folio. Would it be 'cheating' if I worked on it more in my spare time? I don't know if I'll ever get the same model or pose again. Not really sure if it's good enough quality... her legs are too short anyway.

Also, some pose maniacs drawings (one minutes).

Hey Bleupencil, welcome to our group! Nice art happening here! I really dig how you're doing your live figure studies, applying gesture and then filling it out. Love the movement in the water piece way at the top. Watch out for proportions. They're just fine in most pieces except for the one that has the finished graphite render (short arms, long neck, compact shoulders). That's unfortunate. Anyways looking forward to seeing more, it'll be a fun ride.

Cheers Eon, it's always nice to meet some new arty folks

In light of needing more practice and better work for my end-of-year folio, I'm committing to going to extracurricular life drawing sessions on Thursday nights (and maybe Mondays too, if I can swing it).

    Here's tonight's.
