Thread: Storytelling Fixit
August 11th, 2008 #1
Hello to each and everyone of you, let me introduce myself i am an art and design student from Brazil, i've been training hard for the last 6 years or so to become a concept artist, and lately i've been adventuring myself with a group on animation, my goal is to become a game industry artist.
Nowadays as the game market grows with alarming speed and companies are starting to produce games in my country, my hopes are higher than ever, a pity that Funcom is not one of those that came by. They have the kinda of interesting thinking games that i really like. But, anyway, after wandering around the site for months i decided to put something of mine online, unfortunatelly i don't think i'll be posting too often, mainly because i rarely finish something, but eventually i'll post some sketches.

This is not the final version, ill try to post that later, the colors are somehow different but this is not something i can scan, this was made on a wooden board that has around 1,5m From top to bottom and 2,5m from left to right.
Made for the exposition “For Greeks and Troians”.
It took a week and a half drawing, around 2 or 3 hours a day(I live a hour and half away) And 2 weeks painting.
It is my first experience with painting, and never had used acrylics before.
When the exposition starts i'll take some better shots, a pity they'll destroy all the works in a month or so.
As a sidenote i did not paint Ariadne(the girl)
And as a Fun fact i am the Theseus in the picture. Hahaha!
Theseus and the Minotaur
