Question A.A.S. vs B.A. in Game Art & Design

Hello all, I'm new to the forums. I'm looking into a few game art programs and have a question. When applying for a job in the industry, how much difference (APART from actually talent) does having an A.A.S. make rather than a B.A.?

If I already have the raw talent upon completion of an A.A.S., will I be looked down upon for not furthering my education?

I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I'd just rather take the chance and ask rather than not...

    Thanks in advance guys!

    It's not the best answer.

But when I browse job openings on game sites
they mostly ask for a BA. Almost never mention
    Assoc ever, just BA.

If you have the right skills and the right professional attitude, they'll hire you. They don't make any more money because you have a degree. I speak from experience. Students from Max the Mutt have been hired by top companies- we offer diploma programs- before we offered the 4 year Diploma in Concept Art For Animation and Video Games. Our animation diploma includes painting and lots of life drawing, character design etc. That coupled with computer skills got them hired by major companies (and motivated us to put together a program specifically designed to train concept artists).

Worry about your skills, not which piece of paper you have.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm getting a pretty mixed review on what to do. Thanks though!
