Everybody needs a helping hand now and then

evildisco: cheers! I'll try to keep going then
FAST ART: wow, vatine...that's really flattering, I love that kind of style
Dolgopolov: that's one of my main goals, thank you
Nubb: yep, that's what I do here!

Anyway, for the next, actually I was undecided if to post it or not, because in a way it strays from the series, but what the hell, I guess it's part of it (and actually the series is about a mood, not a style).
Plus I noticed that with these close-ups one tends to stylize less and go for more detailed rendering... So this one will be posted larger

Thank you Zou and Flamable, glad you like it!

Here's another piece, it was an excuse to try something slightly different, but in the same vein (i.e. series)

Love what you've been doing! The sepias are easily my favorite of the different approaches you have here, but the mood and poses are great all the way through

yo, really nice lines man, some of your women have very nice poses and curves, i would love to see some more "round" women instead of always very skinny girls.. any way i'll come back, keep on sharing

theUNKNOWNsketche: thank you, glad you like it
bouroune: errr...well yes, I tend to draw skinny girls, I can't really help it, sic..even if you throw me a "rounder" reference, I tend to slim her down a few kilos (which makes me quite an asset with some models! ) ..
Mr.Blonde: yep! that's what I'm trying to do right now, make things more simple and basic...which is harder than one would think actually, it's hard to say to oneself "stop here!"

Again, another take on simplicity...and a quick experiment I got bored with, as I risked going into over-doing it.

    Touching
There is generally more personality in your wild pieces than in the glamour ones.
You may want to try some mixing styles. ?

These are amazing. Beautiful and very sensual. Even the angular ones look soft in the right places.

great stuff Mae! I look forward to seeing more. I thought you were making a series of Major Arcana of the Tarot when I saw the titles, but I suppose not.

Dammit, I wanted to say sensual. Um, synonyms, lascivious? Never used that word before, sounds about right.

Always a pleasure dropping by in here.
It never ceases to amaze me how your simple lines manage to evoke just the right mixture of naughtiness and kink!

    new sepia

Leo Ki: I imagine you mean the wild pieces the last two, or the sketched/sepia ones, and the glamour the ones with the titles, is that correct? If so, interesting point. I imagine that's due to quicker and instinctive approach the first ones, while the other ones are more meditaded, also with light etc.
But as usual, the day I find a happy medium (as you say, mixing styles), it will be a good one!

Naomi Ningishzidda: Nope, no major arcana here! 8) Just some little simple stuff!

5te: thank you...yeah, the angular ones aren't everybody's cup of tea, but I'm glad you like them

    JJ McKool: that word's perfect!

Josef K.: you're welcome, thank you for looking!

the ANGRY filipino: well AF, good to see you again (virtually) on these shores (and on other ones...) thank you, you are always so kind.

    Nicolas: thank you!

    Puck: glad you do.

Wow, I haven't updated in ages...mainly due to a hefty workload, and the fact that I'm travelling.
Anyway, my travels have "suggested" an interest in the sepia series (I won't go into details), so here we are with a new one:

    How lovely are your girls!
I think you've got a great sensibility for colors and your smooth line gives to girls th right atmosphere of erotism
    Compliments!

My heart missed a beat when I saw that last sepia...
And I love the roughness of the Inamourada sketch.
Sorry, yet another non-constructive crit from me
Is your comic project on dry dock?

Well, saying what you prefer or what strikes your eye is anyway constructive LeoKi! Thank you. And yes, I've been travelling lately (not really, I moved from Europe to Tokyo for a few months), plus with other assignments coming in I left the comic project aside. Actually the other day I was reading a short "noir" story which refuelled some old ideas, so you never know! I should really do something small, like a 5/10 page short story, just to get things going...

    I'll keep you posted!

(small quick sketch follows, just to add a headpiece)
