Well, I must say you have improved a ton since I last saw your stuff. You honestly have the potential to be really good, and you have the time to get to a decent place before you are out of school. There are a lot of anatomy/ proportion issues, problems with crowded shapes, and you need a lot of work on face structure/gesture, but all that can be fixed with practice, patience and guidance. You look like you are a honest to goodness hard worker, and you seem have a good attitude toward learning, and those things go a long, long way. Your pencils are much stronger then your digital/painting at this point, and it's a little hard for me to tell where you are in terms of value/lighting knowledge, and you got a long ways to go with color, but that's okay, everybody starts like that. As long as you stay motivated, you've got a good future.
thanks a lot for the critiques! I agree 100% on your evaluation, my pencils are my strongest suit right now. I really need to get my color down and my anatomy still needs to get better.
Right now I am trying to work on two projects on the side of college classes. My teacher told me I needed to get better at drawing hands so I am studying Hogarths hand Anatomy book. I read his Dynamic Anatomy book over the summer along with a few others. I feel they have given me a great foundation, but I just gotta keep on learning.
