    JoCar's Sketchbook

    Hi everyone on sketchbook!

This is my first time on conceptart.org and my first post. A friend of mine told me to start up a sketchbook here so I’m going to try it out.

I have been sketching for a while and just started painting a bit but this fall I'm attending an art class and going to try to take this real serious for a year and see where that takes me!

So I star of with some pics just to get started (have no scanner at the moment so it’s going to be photos)

nice style, the first two seem a little unnerving... just the looks on their faces, seems almost malicious.

    keep it up.

Hello! Your shaded figures are very good; I also like the cute little inked figures in your latest post! I'd like to see more, please!

    Thanks everyone for the comments!

At the moment I’m really trying to get the "crosshatch” shading correct, it’s harder than I thought

So here are some more (Everything I have posted yet, except of the cartoony pics, are from reference)

Your studies are great, but I like your interpretation of people, particularly this piece:

    http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1217836552

    It seems very Al Hirschfeld-y.

snyggt att du har med papperskorgen på den näst sista. höhö.
Krokierna i akvarell är jättefina. speciellt hon som ligger ner. fast det kanske jag redan sagt.
