These sketches were made recently, and i am using 2 books, one is a learn book which has anatomy and studies, another is the sketchbook which i use of other drawings. Sorry for the low lighting, but once the sun appears from the clouds i can get petter pics.

I think you've got a good grasp of value, and your hatching is quite nice. Keep practicing that because that's gonna help you out later.
In regards to your other drawings, always map out the form first. Contours come later after you've correctly blocked out the form.
Check out my sketchbook.

back with an update!
this painting was made a while( early in the month) ago, but i never got to post it.
My first official oil paint, i got direction on how to get it to dry, but all other oil painting i do never dry
sketches, from both the learn book and sketch book
@BadGeometry:I love using pens, and cross hatching, even do it for pencils. My problem is that i dont really outline, i make this mess of a form and shade the hell out of it. i get a bit more careful if im working on bristol or something big, ill post something once i make something.
@joseph-fb : thanks, you got a SB too?
@ A la bapsi: im trying to find a master artist who has sketches that i really like, so far Michlangelo is the only one i can find. sure they are others, but either i havent found them or their sketches didint appeal to me, btw nice poster drawing in your SB

You'll never look at these again because you'll be making better sketches and drawings by the end of this year.

I had a funny feeling whilst viewing this sketchbook, like its two of you there in your head, one is total newb and the second one is already skilled person.
But the further i went the more that second person showed, so i guess you had bad while doing those little very bad sketches hehe, the rest is impressive keep up the good work :]
