    Jamie Hewlett does the Olympics

The BBC have commissioned Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn (the chaps behind Gorillaz) to produce the introduction to their coverage of the olympics, using Monkey: Journey to the West. I just found the animation on the BBC website. It's here, but if you can't see it it's also on Youtube. Very nice!

Awesome! I liked how they worked in all the sports into the clip. Not sure about the music, but cool nonetheless.

Gosh that brings back so many memories watching Monkey and Pig in the cinema late ‘60s. See they’ve toned down the cloud making machine.

They could have put some zombies with tongues reaching to their feet in, and it would have been perfect.

Saw this on BBC website and thought "Hmm... this looks just like Gorillaz. I wonder if it the same people?" I guess they were.

The Boulder takes issue with that comment.
