great sketchbook man, i think maybe in ur last post the only thing i can point out is theres too much white under one of her eyes, making it look kinda droopy. i agree with aliceA great lines

I really like the individuality and freedom in your work. You have a great skill for developing characters.

    Thanx for the heads up.

Cute girlies, the shoulders on the 3d one looks a bit too far apart, otherwise it looks really cool.

    Cheers Ryanoir, XD

ayee, didnt have much control over the proportions of him, he had to fit inside a pre built rig [the Unreal tournament rig] which, if you know of it, has silly proportions
the plus side is that all pre-made animations in the game engine will fit him perfectly, downside, wierd shapes, I can live with the latter XD

and ill just leave this here..

this is free mo-cap data I found, which made me notice that some of the extremes are a bit messed up, specifically the skinning on the back
wont be to strenuous to sort out though
this isnt ever gonna be used, just wanted to see how the rig would hold up with stupid animation haha

trying out foreshortening again, Getting there, it fries my fucking brain right out. yay, brains.

*edit* just realised how messy her "fill" looks against a brown background, heh, no biggie XD

oh and been trying to get back into 30 sec studies, [45 actually, so it gives me 10 seconds to start a new layer and hide the previous one in photoshop] heres what happened when i turned them all on haha, i kinda liked it

First off I love the title of your sketchbook. It just looks so WTF in the middle of all the other SB titles .

I absolutely love that animation with the guy jumping around - it really cracked me up . #183 is fantastic as well, it looks good in a weird way. Weird is nice ;P. As a little crit though, your faces tend to look similar despite some differences in the freatures - the proportions and shape of the face are what does it, I think. They're very similar in all of them, even men.

How do you do that foreshortening thing, by the way? Do you just feel it or do you have some kind of a method? It's something I have trouble with.

did some more 30 second rubbish, cant be arsed to lay them all out, humph. Ill do some paper ones tomorree or something, maybe. also did a couple of longer ones, last time im doing that, ill find better reference than a shit model textured with shit muscle groups. they are good for quick poses, but thats about their mileage

Yeah, I agree with the posemaniacs comment. They are just textures and muscles slapped onto a figure but they really have no movement - they could do a handstand but the muscles won't show any strain. Or the boobs. The female figures can crawl on the ground and do a barrel roll or whatever the hell they feel like doing but the boobs are hard as rock and won't move an inch (a very important point...). They're good for warmup though. Anyway, I somehow like the last one despite all the chaos in there ;P. It's nice how you discover some figures every here and there, lol.

some damn fine 3d work man!! i just got into zbrush myself. trying to find some good brushes, and a decent work flow. the program is very intimidating at first though, even more so than photoshop or painter was for me. but ive been watching lots of youtube videos. the company that makes z brush (pixelogic) has some cool tutorials on there. do you have any good tips, or know of any other good tutorials online?
