Okay, a little work on the red piece. Beelzebub, lord of the lower hells and Honky Tonk Music....

The idea behind the yellow and red characters is that they're set in a supernatural urban setting, the yellow guy is a messenger(think monk/oracle) and Beelzebub is a Honky Tonk Club Owner in the Lower Districts.

Feedback is always welcome, whether it's about design or technical stuff.

What sort of public humiliation can we expect should you fail?

just kidding, these are looking great! For the last guy you posted, his left leg seems to be pointing out a bit much, makes the pose not quite as manly as it could be. His getup suggests a more macho fighter character but having watched some dancing lately with my g-friend his pose seems more like a male dancer's. Hope this is helpfull

leocaat- Thanks for the encouragement! I'll try to keep this ball rolling.

kidult- Yeah, I think just about everyone has a problem with that leg.

A couple revisions, one is obviously a paint over the other a few tweaks.

Recent Revelation: You can not just love Art. Ultimately, you have to love what your Art is about.

    Obvious, but pivotal.

Change of heart, change of pace.

I'm digging the way you chose your lines for those hand studies. Really dig this newest pencil piece, too.

    Update on my previous sketch.

I'm hoping to finish this off digitally and then take it back into traditional, large scale oil painting, over 7'.

My new stuff has been way more experimental than anything I have done since I graduated from college back in '06. I think I lost something pivotal while I was there, and I am finally rediscovering it. Sorry if the execution is a bit clunky atm, but I think it's leading to something personal and enjoyable. Something that's been sorely missing.

Once again another awesome sketchbook that encourages me to work my ass off. I thank you sir!

So, I've been hella busy with school and certification stuff. However, I've been steady working with my pencil and sketchbooks. These are a few in progress from my Red Moleskin. I'm going to try to make it a point to update at least weekly, baring a crazy schedule here and there. BTW, this is only a fraction, I've got a crap load in the wings.

Oh, and definitely, thanks for all the encouragement folks. Much appreciated.
