Progressing nicely. Vehicles etc. seem to be your strong point but with a few more anatomy studies your character designs will be right up there as well. Keep at it.

Traveler: Thank you! I am working on it!

It's been a while - I've been playing around with different techniques.

Your environments and mechanical designs are excellent as always. By the way, have any advice for those who are trying to achieve that kind of aesthetic?

FightingSeraph: I think some differences in the aesthetics might be determined by the tool and drawing method you use. You can find a glazing and layering photoshop approach, one of extensive perspective construction, and loose marker sketching with minor perspective construction in the pictures above. It's also working from big to small, from loose to tight.

    Thanks!

Ok, so let's dump some more space ships here.

Amazing as usual ;-) May I ask what is the difference between "extensive perspective construction" and "minor perspective construction"?

pixel cheetah: Don't worry about "minor" and "extensive" perspective construction. That's not an official term or anything It's just that I sometimes build up a picture with lots of construction lines and with others I just guess the final perspective shapes.

MoKhi: Thanks a lot! The space ships in post 66 were incredibly fun to paint!

Here, I tried to render an astronaut. This painting took me a bit longer than the above sketches.

I was wondering if you used any kind of line tools or a ruler or do you free hand the lines? I've been trying to practice more architectural work but... Hah.
