love the mark-making. some of your drawings remind me of sculptures, all the little marks revealing the form. reminds me of Edward Gorey too, awesome stuff.

thanks jon n, the sculpture thing is definitely accurate i think, i really like the aesthetic and lean in that direction considerably. the gorey reference is flattering, i dig his work and style and also go through your sketchbook pretty frequently too , inspiring stuff

yeah thats her monstertree , their "whats in my bag " interview and last single sold me on them more or less even though i might revisit it since im not that happy with it

Like others said and beat me to the punch a very nice organic feel to your lines. Something that I find is a bit rare for people surfing around Sketchbooks.

    Looks great!

hey sipher, i took at look at your blog, so much goodies in there !!
The way you draw reminds me of one of my favorite artist, Katsuya Terada. You should check out his book rakugaking if you dont already own it

i like how your lines are already so loose and rich
i'm sure it will give awesome painting

on your figures, some proportions to correct
try to draw cylinder for the limbs, perhaps it will give more 3d look

thanks zou , yeah i still have some way to go on my figures especially from imagination but im doing breakdown studies ala cylinders and all that

velocity - thats some pretty nice animation there thanks alot for the heads up, i really dig these kinds of independent animation projects but i tend to miss out since its hard to keep up on all of it

    thanks sonia
