I'm finding, doing all these thumbnails, how many thumbs just... don't work. It really takes quite a few of 'em to get a decent idea for a piece. They're really good exercises to keep me coming up with ideas and seeing different sorts of things in abstract shapes.
Not trying to sound like a crazy fanboy but I'm loving your sketchbook,
I hope you don't mind me stealing your thumbnail thingy but such a great idea for getting some quick practice down.
keep up the great work man I'll be back by soon to see your updates
Those thumbnails are looking really good. I especially like the first one in the last update. This is a really good idea, I should start doing some of these too.
Just one tiny crit, maybe try to vary up the lighting/mood on some of them? Instead of having the constant high saturation super colorful sci-fi/fantasy mood, maybe go for some more subtle natural colors? But, if that's not what you're going for, then just completely ignore me.
Nice speedpaint but one thing I'd say though is try to slow down in your lights. Speed paint in low contrast but slow down in high contrast since you are still trying to convey the image even though you are working fast.
