Still working on concepts for that project. Honestly I'm less experienced at this then I should be. My matte painting skills need work ><
More in the works work! This time, a zombie portrait. The idea behind it is that it's some kind of brain parasite, so I'm working it toward that end. I'm thinking about bulging out some veins, adding some purples, etc :3
Ok! Finished up that zombie portrait. Took like... 5 hours. Though I'll admit I got distracted from time to time.
Version 2 of that zombie portrait, still in progress! I want to introduce more flesh tone into it without ruining the modeling I've already done.. and I'm not sure how.
Ok! I put some muscle into it and... here we go! More human-ish zombie tiems :3
I've been drafting up some concepts for a group project at my school. I think there's some bit of lighting I don't understand, that industrial design people seem to have down cold.
Just a little update to let you guys know I am still alive. Forgive the quality here, I don't have a scanner at the moment ><
It was very excellent watching your drawings improve throughout the pages of your thread. Very inspiring stuff, beautiful beautiful work being done on your part! Keep it up! Excellent studies, etc. Go go go, not too fast though! Enjoy it.

Thanks alot, obscure! I definitely have that "Not too fast" bit down ><
Here's my sketches for the week. Not too many studies... but I do too many studies vs my own stuff anyway!
some pinup ideas for the CHOW. I ended up missing the deadline on these, but I kinda want to make a picture out of the one on the right
Been a while since I did some good old fashioned digital painting.. so here's a movie still! I experimented with texture and filter modes here. From the movie "Hero"
I suck at complicated stuff, foliage and impressionistism in general. Thus... I started a study that's slowly killing me. I'm still noodling with it, but I've hit a bit of a speedbump here.
(that's the photo source)
Lot of experimenting in this part. Made a new leaf brush, toyed around with things here and there. It's still a hot mess, but at least now it isn't COMPLETELY radioactive.
Soooo.... I got my days mixed up and ended up at work about 2 hours early. NAPKIN SKETCH TIEMUUUU!!
Playing around with painting techniques! Took longer then it should have!
Heeey all! Been working traditionally lately, so I had the overwhelming urge to get back to digital.. and thus.. STUDIES! Well, today's studies anyway.
Are these things working again? o.o
Hey all! I've been busy with a lot of things, in particular, I'm trying to learn oil paints. My goal is to start doing some Alla Prima painting, as I think it'd improve my concept art work. This is my first attempt at oil...ever! Sorry for the crappy photography.
Hey all! Trying to pay the school bills and looking for work has kept me rather busy, but the dream WILL NOT DIE. So, digital alla prima! (Four hours! Gonna try to skim that down while upping the accuracy!)
Been busy trying to survive (Working slightly more then minimum wage doesn't fight off the student loan bills very well), but It gave me the distance to notice I havent been all that "concepty" in my concept art work. So here are some treehouses, rendered from the silhoutte up!
Hey all! Still trying to find better work.. but that doesn't mean I can stop arting! I attempted a quick-without ref, stylized portrait to test my painting skills. And as a result...well..I'm obviously gonna have to do a lot more of them! ><
These aren't done..I'm going to color them when I wake up tommorrow. I'm planning on doing 100 of these babies!
Ok, here are the colors. Man.. finding a realistic skin tone with or without the coloring method I used is difficult. That said.. some of it looked kinda good so I just left it there. ONWARD TO MOAR
Hey all! Just like last time, posting greyscale before I massacre them with color! (I'm gonna try and re-work the values on the tan barbarian. Stylized as he is, I still feel the values are off)
nice, i like your style it reminds me of background paintings for 2d animation, but in a good way.keep up the good work dude, really like the one with the pink trees.

Thanks blazing! Meteor and White Camel too! Here are the colors this time around. I think I'm slowly dialing in to how the multiply and overlay layers interact with eachother.
