that autumn environment sketch looks fantastic man. the water is ace and the overall mood is quite good as well.

im slightly torn by the anatomy studies though, as some proportions are skewed in an unsavory manner. you might like to try reading some Bridgman or Loomis books to help with these tricky anatomy bits.

Name's Todd. I'd encourage you to check out my sketchbook, but it's full of shit, natch.

naa I think your anatomy knowleges is pretty good, you just need to clean up your pics and define the lines and light! but more anatomy studies cant hurt^^

Cool stuff you got going here man! I really like the speedpaints, texture experimentation.. something I need to start doing myself

.. really dont got anything to crit, except for adding more accessories to your woman warrior. There's nothing wrong with her at all, it's just that she seems so, normal.. stuff like cool necklaces and clothing and lots of detail adds to the character and makes it more interesting ..also dig the latest pieces.

    Keep it up!

    Cool

I like this stuff. Are you using Photoshop or Painter? I Like photoshop for all the custom brushes and tech stuff, but Painter is just so damn juicy if you know what I mean.

jedininjaman: Alright I will try 'n remember that, thanks man.

DefiledVisions: Yeah I think my approach to that piece was all wrong, turned out pretty boring. I'm gonna try be more loose when I paint future pieces, but thanks for your crits!

velkroboy: Some earlier pieces in here are Painter, but now I use PS only as I prefer the brush system alot more. I hear ya though, Painter is definitely good when you want that artistic feel to your paintings.

    T-M-K: Thanks mate

Hi!! Cooool works!!! You use the brushes in such a way to keep things exciting!! I like pretty much everything you made!! Though I admit, I like the ice monster as an ice monster more than as a lava monster!! I guess because it appears to have an emotion that matches the lonely and ominous waters.

I also admit, I wouldn't know that fishy monster WAS a fishy monster till you said, but I think it's just cuz it's a gaping freaky mouth I see!! Well, fish or anything else, I would NOT want to fall into THAT!! Hee hee!!

Great stuff!! I shan't repeat any other crits, you're definitely on your way!

looking good! you've got such a great way with texture. I especially love the underwater (underwater, right?) sketch - beautiful colors! the girl in the red dress has wonderful skin tones. her face seems a little wide/stretched, though. maybe more of a hint of the jawbone beneath her ear would fix that? i dunno, just a thought. looks great, i love the little wisps of light hair against the dark background and the way her hair incorporates warm tones from her dress.
