Warlords IV has just been released so I can show some of the work I did for the project, both of these pieces were used on the box for the game and I should have some more to show once the advertisements start showing up

Ah Warlords....many hours wittled away on those titles.

I like the first image a lot, you managed to capture a good sense of menace from this character. I am totally digging your skull design. If I had to nitpick I wold say his hood would casting more of a shadow on his skull/face, and that would helpl his one eye pop out a bit more. Also the color choices are bit jarring to me, I think it's the royal blue BG that is bugging me. Maybe something more like the color of the sholder pads...sort of reddish-brown. His forearm seems a tad short as well compared to the size of his hand.

2nd image is cool, the minatour is pretty sweet. But I think the orc is coming off as a bit flat, especially his head. He just doesnt have the same intensity as bull-boy. My only other comment would be that it's a bit hard to read the minatours pose, and he's quickly reduced to a floating head.

Anyhow, still like them both - hope the game is good!

    cheers
    D

I love the stringing around the sword handle. I think its sweet.
The face and the hand look good. I like the little tattoos. I think you should work on the hood more.

In the second image I think the Minotaur looks like he can take on 5 more orcs. He looks pissed.

    good job they look great.

thanks for the feedback everyone. Also good points Blackarts, I'll look out for those things in future, especially the floating head on the minotaur, I didn't spend nearly long enough nutting out the pose.
