Dont laugh at me

First thing - draw bigger - there's lots of blank space there which you could be using.
Drawing bigger gives you more chance of control.
Think about the light - where its coming from, where it is hitting surfaces. I wrote a reply on another thread a few days ago, which you might perhaps find helpful? http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...94#post1797694
Don't think in terms of features - "nose", "eyes" and so on - but look for shapes of lights and darks - check out the various threads here on doing Bargue plates - don't be put off by the advanced standards of a lot of the work, there are basic general principles which can be applied.
