    (updated Daily)

my new sketchbook, ive been on CA for about 4 years now, before CA This is what i was doing. 4 years later, and tons of studying and hard-work i feel like I'm just starting to crack my foundations and become a decent artist.
I'll update this frequently, at least once a week with some sketches AND finished work.
Thanks to Steph for the motivation to start this and keep up my productivity. Check out her Sketchbook!

    no ref. unless noted.

Clearly my efforts have not gone to waste. You've got a lot of soul and imagination in these sketches already, I can't wait to see what you get into once that tablet arrives.

Steph Laberis- OHHH thank you, i don't want to disappoint you, still waiting on the tablet, but i know exactly what i wanna do when it gets here, i wanna work on some environments, ive done about 50 thumbnails already ready to blow up.

heres some more craaaaap from me, the "less armored Big Daddy" which i didnt intend for him to look like is still a WIP. I was hoping to make them a Team of two adventure divers. We don't have enough of that.

page 1; the original concept in the sketchbook for the characters.
page 2; WIP design for one of the characters
page 3; random weapon and environment designs.
page 4; retarded doodle at work
page 5; retarded doodles in coffee shop

WOOOO i got a wacom, its Steph's old one but YES so much fun, i spent all summer drawing and i think i painted twice so this is really a change for me. I feel like I'm understanding tone more and lighting Painting the simplest things.

ANYways after painting two still lifes of these toys i have, I started on an illustration, but Photoshop crashed, MORE TO COME!

For an article on Hipsters and how useless they are. The crumpled paper thing is cheap but what the hell i got lazy and just laid in all flats. I like the characters at least...they're decent.

    Thanks for looking

more progress, studying some color, i'm digging Bellows low chroma colors and orangey skin tones, his portraits of kids are great, check them out.
I'm starting to see the very limited color palette in face, and how i dont have to use a billion colors to get a decent value going on, it's looking decent in my opinion...
