great study ste and really liked the first enviro, your last one seems to lack a story at the minute though, dont get too caught up in the awesome details and forget about narrative and places of interest

This last character is excellent. I don't know why, but she feels a bit "modern" to me? Not necessarily a bad thing, I'm just not sure if that's what you wanted. Good job on the studies. I need to kick it in high gear.

good start for the enviroments, your values in them could vary little more, like rock could have clearly darke areas and clearly lighter areas. Those turnaround studies are really good idea, have been doing some of them myself as well, but more in a skeleton form

anyway take care, waiting to see where this goes

Awesome! The realism you have in these pieces are stunning. Not something that I prefer, but I must say: Well done, sir!

Your stuff looks good but I've been wondering for a while what it is about your work that isn't right. Cause whenever I look at your work something always seems off and I couldn't tell before now.

You use A LOT of soft brushes and then you use textures to up the detail. I think this is more a crutch than anything. The reason it looks good is because the values are pretty good. So I would suggest that you stop using the soft+texture brush stuff for a while and try to block the right values in with a more apparent brush and make each brushstroke have it's place. Define the edges and the forms with it. Use opacity as little as you can to loose edges.

I'm sure that if you do this, it'll improve your stuff greatly.

Also, I can tell that you do the grayscale+opacity layers thing. Try to build up your stuff with actual colors instead.
If this isn't the case, you still need to work on the colors in your personal stuff cause it looks slightly dull.

Keep up the good work man, you're doing good.

Wow, really love your stuff! Your latest is awesome. The way you're able to capture the soft yet solid qualities of skin and such is really amazing. I'm jealous d: My favourites are the pilot and your first apple painting, that one's awesome I'm subscribing! Keep it up~
