Welcome to CA, nice SB so far. The blood elf one is interesting, you should finish that one! Also the last page with the armor suit is cool. I took a long break from drawing at one point too, drawing was one of the things I just always did from when I was young. Only recently did I start to take it seriously though (which is a shame, a lot of wasted time ). Anyway good luck! Keep posting!
oh yeah you can link a url by doing this [ url="url goes here"] My Sketchbook [ /url]
Just remove the spaces I added after the ['s.

@Samurai: Thanks. Yeah, i've wasted 2 years so far in something i don't like doing. Programming is really annoying. You get one code wrong and the entire sequence is messed up. Drives me nuts. Hehe. Thanks again. I will try finish the blood elf, and as a programmer i should know a thing or two about linking. *sigh* haha. (its late )

These are really nice studies. I empathize with you, I did not want to become another artist wasting away at some regular job. never give up and don't let anything get in your way. I have meet too many artists that are stubborn or not willing to move. Keep posting, I want to see more.
Please visit my sketchbook.

Yeah i was that type of person. I'm really stubborn and don't have that drive to push it to the next step. But its going to change. I will continue with the studies. Thanks again

Hey dude! Nice to see how people decide to pursuit their dreams.Nine months ago I had to choose between being a translator or a concept artist, I chose translator cause I had more chances , after two months I switched my studies to art cause I came to realise that I just wanted to draw, In my case it wasn't such as important thing cause I'm gonna start mi last high school year in september, but you made the right choice if you really are prepared to make efforts and draw as you never did before
By what I've seen it would be good that you do some studies on anatomy, form, gesture, blah blah blah.
here you got a fantastic thread with lots of free ebooks: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=94571
They'll be really helpfull, at least some of them have helped me to understand how ignorant I am and how to start changing that. Good luck dude

Ill try and update soon. I have exams coming up and haven't had time to draw anything so far.
But i'll try squeeze in a few sketches here and there, between my breaks.

Nice stuff man. Looks good. Looking forward to seeing more.
Also, not too bad after four years of little to no practice. That was kind of my situation, having not kept it up through high school, which I'm regretting now. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Coooool, After seeing your reply on my work, I totally see what you mean. Our styles are quite similar. I looove your sketches. Your hands are very good. I cant get hands like that. Very good, keep it up. I'd like to see more.

I can't update at the moment. After my final exam last week i decided to take my sketchbook so i could start drawing a bit of the architecture around my uni. we aren't allowed books into the exam so i left it near the door\hallway among other books and stuff. I forgot to pick it up after my exam and went home and for about 4 days i was looking everywhere for my book around the house and i realised i left it at my uni. I went back to see if they anyone picked it up and put it into the "lost property" but it wasn't there. I am really annoyed cause it was at least 1 and a half weeks worth of sketches i'd done, a lot of anatomy studies, some random doodles completely gone. *sigh* i've bought a new sketchbook and trying badly to catch up. I'll update tomorrow for sure on what i've gotten so far. It's a let down and i'm kinda upset that i lost a lot of work and because i'm an idiot. T_T
Anyway ill keep you posted.

Yay im back.
My scanner is in the fritz so i can't scan all the images i replaced with my lost sketchbook.
So instead of wasting time i went out and got Adobe Photoshop CS3 and dusted off my wacom tablet and pen and started drawing, the first few were shockingly awful, like something from a third-grade and even then they can do better than me.
But here it is. The first image i've done with my Wacom Tablet.
The anatomy is wrong, and i am still pretty shaky with the pen.
P.S More to come

Ok so here is a quick doodle of a Samurai.
I'm still getting used to the Wacom so it may look silly.
July 20th, 2008 #24
Here's a face i've attempted to do on Photoshop.
Getting more and more used to the pen, and kinda get the hang of layers.
July 20th, 2008 #25
Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook Dreamstate Yeah, on the picture you saw, I wanted a chrome type look. Very hard to paint chrome. I like your stuff. Your figure studies are very cool ^^ The face you have just posted is cool to keep working with that wacom.

Yay, here are the pencil sketches i've been wanting to upload but haven't been able to, due to my scanner not working. Sorry.
Anyway, a few more hand studies and starting to move to the arm and shoulder areas now.
July 20th, 2008 #27
Here are some designs i'm doing for different characters for my brothers graphic novel.
And armor concepts.
P.S I'll update more, but my stupid scanner is acting up again after 5 minutes of it working. >_<
This one is just a quick sketch, referenced from youtube. Not original of mine. The woman is my image, shes a main character in the book, shes called Freyja.
