Set World Record - Chalk Drawing

Well, after a five year vision, two years of hard work bringing it into existence, and two weeks in creating it, we set a World Record for the Largest Chalk Drawing.

90,000 sq. ft., photographed by a satellite (still waiting for it), we had 3200 elementary school kids help out, and another 3000 on Sat. to help finish it.

Have a Dream? Get a lot of support. Ask me to help!
    ~MW

I blogged everyday over the last two weeks with lots of pictures.

WOW fascinating! Did you encounter any rain during the two weeks? Looks like it's at an old airport.

    very cool.

    So Rad

I really wanted to make it up there last week, but couldn't scrape together the gas money for the drive up North. Really glad that it all worked out though. I'm sure the kids had fun, and hopefully this will convince the powers that be to start hiring some art teachers again.

haha, i was about to say the same thing...

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Ha... love this feedback. It wasn't about this. It should of looked even more kid draw. We had 3500 elementary school kids working on it. Color - try buying enough chalk to cover 90,000 sq. ft. and come under budget as a non-profit. KEEP TRYING - OK, next World Record - I'll help YOU do it! It was way too much fun!

Mark, I am thrilled to hear that you smashed that record! I regret that I couldn't join in like I had hoped but it seems you were able to create something wonderful will all the helping hands you did get

You have every right to be proud - thank you for bringing something this inspiring to reality. I hope all of those kids were inspired after participating as well
