    ssg #45 united

    about this thread:

This is going to be the ssg #45 united thread. It is the place where zu members of ssg #45 will pick a theme each week and work together on it.
The goal of this thread is to have fun together, and push eachother. We will do a mixture of fun themes and learning themes chosen by somebody else each week.

so to start this thread off, the theme of zu week is:

    small but deadly

I think it is best that the deadline is on sunday, and from then on each sunday. (If you guys agree) And well, have lots of drawing fun and dont forget to post your stuff in here.

    good luck all!

I thought of this as a possibility...

A small device that when inserted into the blood stream, it will travel the main veins until remotely activated, where it will start taking in the plazma to fill small baloons that start sealing the vein... the more the heart pumps the faster the device inside closes the blood vessle. As the blood pressure begins to build around the vein, it would either cause an anurism or stroke in subjects...

Fascinating concept TCSSRD, I'll comment more indepth later.

Okay, so here is my attempt. It's actually still a WIP but because I can't make it to tomorrow's deadline due a comicfestival I have to attend and my poor planning skills for this week. I'm very sorry for this.

Anyway, so here's my concept + discription:

A lean pod type armored carnivourous creature that pierces it self with full speed in water trough other fish's and even human's to attack and kill it's prey. Sometimes they even attack in groups. Leaves very much damage and gaping wounds or holes when It goes trough wood. It's eye's can look everywhere, so it's hard to approach them that they get away or attack you. The not named yet pod creature is about 10 centimeters long.

Nice job, SRD. ;D I really like that technique, very neat and well put together - and the idea's very interesting, too.

Not making it to the deadline's alright, whitevillage. :] At least you had a neat concept to show..unlike some people, who didn't post anything. /punches self.
I can imagine that thing just swarming all over some clueless victim ;alkjdf;alksjdf X__x

well a week went by and no new theme was chosen, so today, [but still due the sunday after this one. o:] I'll pick the week's theme:
    "Punk Buddha"
Try a character design. *_* since we like variety. Yeah.

I have been busy with other things lately like internships and other arrangements, that explains no updates from my sketch book and this concept that is still in WIP-fase. Punk buddha sounds like fun, although I'm afraid I can't make that deadline to tomorrow.

    sid

his name is sid, and he likes to smile.
    ...
he also likes to look different in EVERY SKETCH OF HIS FACE I'VE DONE SO FAR >:o
But that's something I'm currently working on.

A bad photo of sid, so far.

It stings to say this, but 'yes'. I wished it went better as well then how it's going on now, we'll try again someday later and/or making the deadlines bigger then a week.

I think we should change the concept. How about this:

each week everybody posts a picture they are currently working on and wants some extra attention on. Then we as a group crit it and try to push the picture to a higher level. This way you are less stuck in having to have something finished, or having to do a topic you don't feel like doing since it will all be personal work.

    that's a good idea.
    maybe some kind of rotation?
one person first, then another person each week?
