This is my first post, so I hope I'm doing this right....
I dabble in many forms of art, the last few years being knife-making and design. This has moved into working on retractable automatic blades that are worn on the wrist or forearm, as seen in comics, video games, and movies as: Kroenen in 'Hellboy', Nazi in 'Marathon Man', Lucian in 'Underworld', Wolverine claws, and Assassin's Creed Altair hidden wrist dagger.
I have my own forum where we try to catalog and design exotic weapons and gear, and I'm working toward bringing out a few wrist-mounted devices for sale in the future.
So I guess here's my challenge...design a arm-blade and make it look cool.
Can be either above mounted over the fist, or below wrist mounted. Looking toward having embellished older styles and modern military tactical versions.
Here's a few pics of what I'm trying to make real.
Love the site, love all the cool artwork. Just thought I'd see what you guys could come up with.
I really want to paint one of these someday!! Always found them to be very cool, I agree with the one you made on top of the hand not the one that could clip fingers off, your real one is the best design!!
I'm working on designing a retractable blade mounted on the wielder's fist, so that more force can be put into blows and strikes. The blade is also wider than traditional arm-blades, for more stability. This design is meant less for concealment than most arm-mounted blades.
