The fingers on both hands are curled under, so I don't think they're that small at all.

Actually they are a bit small. I might revisit it later. 3 weeks of life drawing to catch up on.

Try to slow down bit with those quick ones, always try to get hands and feet there bit more accurate simple shapes, also don't be afraid to draw through in order to find pelvis so you can find where leg starts. Keep at it.

Keep nagging away - it does sink in eventually.
Monday's life drawing. Was interrupted a lot during the first half hour as I had to let people in and show them where stuff was.

Last night's batch. Final one I drew the head too small, makes him look like a dinosaur.

Great life drawings, but my favorites are the ones on blue paper. Is it a special pastel paper?

No it's just sugar paper. It does fade a bit, but nicely.

Oh lols... I think I might just have given a bunch of such paper away to a kid's hospital because it was bought for some crafting projects years ago, and the kids got my pile of crafting supplies... oh well, at least amazon seems to have some xD

    Thanks

Well yes, but I'm running a 6 week art exhibition and don't have time to upload anything atm. I'll catch up at some time - still arting.

While helping with the pop-up exhibition, I did quite a lot of 'live' painting. It did help to bring people in and got a number of the other artists doing the same.

Sold this one off the easel.

Pretty happy with my dragon - playing with metallic paint.

Not happy with this and may repaint it.

    Name: IMG_3459bs.jpg

Went a bit mad with this one. I did get asked where I got my magic mushrooms from.

As I have a dog commission coming up, I thought I'd better practice as I haven't painted one before.

And finally, I did a quick portrait practice (under 2 hours) from reference. The chap was over the moon with it.

Liking last portrait. Dunno if you wanna dig this deep but what I would like to see is you to play with design more for dragons, there are so much variety different kind of animals you can use to start like what is story of it, how it hunts, is it territorial, why coloration is way it is etc. and build everything around it, also studying anatomy (bones and muscles) and research helps with this

Haven't updated for a bit. It's not that I haven't been arting, just not been well for a few weeks - I've been over doing it too much. Let's see what I can find.

Even funnier 2008 v 2018 self portraits. I think I spent longer on the 2008 one.

Also been designing posters for exhibitions for the art society I belong to. Not going to post those as they're boring.

And I repainted most of this one.

I have various WIPs in the pipeline.

You have been improving a lot recently, those latest two pieces are stunning. Not surprised they sold at all. I've been keeping up with your updates on Facebook and it has been great to read/see the progress and what you've been up to!

Thanks. I draw when I can. At an exhibition there was a concert, so I drew a few of the singers (a couple on minutes max on each) and a couple of dogs.
