    Wes Zip File

    Hi,

I'm wondering if any one has the zip file that some one made of Wes Burt's old work. I can't find anyone that still has it.
If you do have it PLEASE email it to me at info@kobrinkustoms.com

    Thank you,
    Jake

As long as you look and don't touch. He has been violated more times than...something that has been violated a lot. It's like Arnold Schwarzenegger (if i spelled his name correctly I'm going to be stoked!) in The 6th Day, and Total Recall combined.

It's for inspirational purposes. I have no intentions of copying his designs.

So thats what everyone talks about when they talk about Wes. Great stuff. I had a couple of his pieces in my inspiration folder without even realizing it. Anyone got any more colletions from other artists? I got Marko's, hardcorepixxx's, and now Wes' stuff now.

While I'm not going to delete this... it was put up on the web freely before...

but if wes asks I shall...

Some of these artists...marko...wes..etc might not want their old artwork up on this site for reasons of their own.

So... please think about that when asking for people to publicly put all their work back up :/
    thats all.

Fine, I deleted all of their stuff. No worries about trading on the deviant art black market for subscriptions.

I hate that term. I see absolutely nothing wrong with giving praise to someone you respect.

    Hi,

I'm wondering if any one has Wes' daily schedule and a list of his fears. Possibly a previously worn article of clothing? I can't find anyone that still has it.
If you do have it PLEASE email it to me at iam@alwayswatchingyou.com

    Thank you,
    Cody

Wes and I shared a straw once in austin texas.

I made a slurpee with 90% sugar extract cause I've never made a slurpee on my own. He tasted it and said it tasted like it was destroying his brain or something.

That straw is still the only thing i draw with

I'm sorry to Wes and to everyone else if this seemed weird. The reason why was asking for it was because all of his old work is no longer available on CA and I wanted to see it. I was told that there was a zip file floating around that had it.

looking at artwork by wes can only inspire you to be like wes. looking at the world and letting it filter into your mind and exit your pencil is what you really want.

Thats just stupid, it is entirely possible to be inspired by someone without copying their work.

Being inspired by as many things as possible is good though, but neglecting to learn from the best artists in the field or the old masters is crazy.
copying what they do to an extent that the work you produce is not your own voice anymore but someone elses, yes, that is crazy too, but I dont think that is what Jake was looking for.

Thank you Archipelago for basically summing it up.
One way that I get motivated to draw is by looking at drawings better than my own. Also I'm sort of at a shaky, unhappy period with my art work and I heard that there was some of the work that Wes did when he was a little bit younger on the file and I wanted to see it... I don't know why but I'm getting a little obsessive over seeing peoples art when they were younger... and it's scaring me.

This is my last post on the lounge btw.

...well I've said that before so who knows.

I miss little italy it was always a treat to see the 18 wheelers try and squeeze under that small bridge only to have there roofs pealed back like sardine cans. Couventry was also a nice chill spot.

I was trying to get the attention of a friend during Wes's live demo. And in the confusion I shouted "Hey Wes". Realizing what I just did I took quick action and hid behind the closest person next to me. Wes didn't care but the crowd gave some stern looks.

Actually, that was really helpful to see how far Wes has come over 8 years. I look at his stuff now and think he was just born that good, but there's really incredible progress in those pieces. He IS human after all.
