You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you

Pardon the way that I stare
    There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak
So if you feel like I feel
Please let me know that it's real
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you

I love you baby and if it's quite all right
I need you baby to warm the lonely nights
I love you baby, trust in me when I say
Oh pretty baby, don't bring me down I pray

Oh pretty baby, now that I've found you stay
And let me love you baby, let me love you

You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you

Realy powerful piece!! I love how in your work you can always look and find different levels of detail and interest, but without that detail detracting from the impact of the overall piece!

Brilliant stuff as usual.. Love the intricacy and iconographic imagery, brought bang up todate in your unique way. Was there an issue with the swastika in that it was removed from the final art work for the C.D.?

Brutal, that Soulfly cover! And completely fitting for the band. I'm absolutely positive this is going to become one hell of a viral image, it'll be plastered on people's retinas worldwide. Doesn't that make you giddy? I still have the Chaos AD cover etched in my mind btw.

    It's magnificent.

    It's vibrant.

    It's dangerous.

And it's gonna murder me to death.

    ...

    I like it!

Nice one getting to design Soulfly's album art. I've done a few album covers in my time but none for a band as big as that! Good stuff!

The piece is highly detailed and complex and yet still manages to work when on a much smaller scale, very well done.

The head dress design is beautiful too. Love the colouring on that one.

Amen good sir. Very cool piece, for one of the very few bands of this "Metal" scene I can listen to without laughing or falling asleep. Yeah yeah, this is how it is!
    Keep rocking, freak!

    It's...beautiful...

If Kali had an older, nastier brother that's just what he'd look like!

The textures are superb- I struggle to recreate the richness of textures you can achieve with traditional medias when I work digitally, but this has helped reconvince me that it is me, and not my computer which is at fault...

Though as a relative digital noob, I may be jumping the gun...may I ask what process you went through? Is it part trad/part digital, all digital, painted in your own blood on stretched human skin...? Would love to see some of the development work for this piece (I'm sure I'm not alone!)

Spectacular. It brings to mind Shiva of course. The fiery malevolence of her face is perfect for the subject. The eyes reflect a Reptilian and almost spider like single mindedness with roots deep into the creation of the universe herself. Damn, where's my HP Lovecraft edition of the Thesaurus when I need it?! Beautiful work Andrew.

Lotet, if you're ever in San Francisco, go to the store "Five & Diamond" - they sell the fashions there. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and they are spectacular!

DAMN IMPRESSIVE IMAGE. But what stuns more is that wicked headdress - not to be rude but GOD I do want to get it in my hands no matter what it takes - and put it in my room <-- it's so cool that my head feels like explode when I see it !

looks amazing, i love the colors and contrast of it all, though they kind of butchered your image. . . .

    http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/6537/conquerbo6.jpg

made it kind of dark and it lost alot of its detail but, still having your name with soulfly is a great accomplishment, great work

Off topic-ish, but isn't Shiva male...also usually portrayed as white (by dint of being coated in the ashes of cremations...

Kali is the darker aspect of Shiva's consort, and is dark-skinned. Also the knecklace of skulls (sometimes severed heads) is also associated with Kali...Shiva is more usually associated with garlands of snakes or flowers...more Hawaii 50 than Hells Angel...

As I said, off-topic-ish, as Andrew already mentioned it's an amalgamation of various traditions...both are multi-limbed and associated with destruction in many traditions of Hinduism...
