    For NO RAISIN!

.Hello! I have gone through other peoples sketchbooks for awhile now... maybe a year or two....and felt that I had to start my own. I felt I should wait until I had enough stuff that I am proud of to start my own Sketchbook but a year passes and I still not satistfy with my work. Hopefully becoming a part of this site and it's great artist help me improve.

I was going to say that you need to study/practise putting underlying structures into your figures, and then you post the Hogarth stuff.

The hogarth heads, where you seem to have paid more attention to the underlying form are alot strong than your other pieces. Just keep practising this area. Use the torso and hip shapes for your figure work too, and I think you'll improve alot.

Keep drawing ... and have fun.

I like the text/humour in the last few comics that you posted. Simple, yet realistic sounding dialogue.

You have some good talent and it looks like your are trying hard to increase your skill. The one thing that I have noticed is that you are very line happy and are trying to rely a lot on line for your form. Let your undersketches show so you can see the structure underneath and do that first so you have something to go over with when you do line to define. This will help you stay away from having your figures from looking skewed which I have noticed is a common occurrence. I would suggest you start working with only with pen. Make your undersketches with the pen light and loose and slowly build up on to it till you have shape and form. I have recently been doing this and not only is it a great learning tool to see what you are doing right or wrong but ends up looking pretty cool over time.

Hope that helps and I hope to see more from you later on.

Imagination is not a total internal power but rather it is a reflection and multi-faceted projection of our experiences and knowledge. We take in information from the world around us and intuitively re-order it into something new. Something is not created from nothing but simply transformed from what was before.

    Thank you

Ito Saith Webb- Thank you for taking you time and posting feedback on my stuff I really appreciate it I notice what your saying about me being line happy. I tried using a 2h pencil for underline structure and then going over it with a 2b it seems to help, also the pen suggest is awesome I actually have a small sketch book I started carrying around with me and all I use is pen in that I understand what you mean about going light and then darker using more pressure slowly building up. I definitely going to do more pen drawings now that you mentioned it. I notice from the small sketchbook I have become more comfortable with working with a pen.
Thanks again for the encouraging words
