    The Lizard WIP

Another quick greyscale. This one is a work in progress, since I hope to finish it, for possible portfolio piece. Painted in Photoshop, from a very rough thumbnail sketch.

The Lizard is a Spiderman baddie.

I love that crazy dog on the blue background. It makes me happy, I want to see more of your illustrations with backgrounds like that!

I took some time last week to do the Illustration Friday challenge. The theme was "Foggy."

I know I feel this way sometimes.

some new ones. A quick color sketch for Illustration Friday, on the theme of 'Enough.' It's a pencil sketch, finished in Photoshop.

The other illustration is a submission for a local zine, on the theme of 'Hate.' The illustration is supposed to represent self hate. It will be printed in grey tone, but I really wanted to do a quick color version as well. I painted this directly in Photoshop.

    thanks for looking.

Some more recent stuff for Illustration Friday website challenges. All are pretty quick, 2 to 3 hours. I may go back and finish some of them off. The "Detach" one is the least finished, and has some obvious problems that are bugging me.

I've been trying to get a little more complex on these challenges, than the usual simple spot illustrations I was doing earlier.

    thanks for looking.

    Hulk toss!

It's been kinda busy over here, so I've only got one piece to show. Hope to have more time next week to do more fun stuff.

This is not finished--still need to work some things out. I started with a Hulk sketch, then decided to try to finish it as a complete illo. I didn't plan it out ahead of time with thumbnails, etc. since it was just for fun. I'm working on it when I feel inspired, or when I'm bored with other stuff.

    thanks for looking.

Great stuff chrisc! Your quirky renditions of Marvel characters are refreshing. Your Doc Ock rocks something fierce. Thanks for the inspiration.

I think I've been away long enough to have some new work to show. Some stuff for "Illustration Friday," some just for fun.
