Some of that stuff is really creepy, but still so well executed. I think it's fun to see your renditions of superheroes.

Small update. I've been kinda busy with work & looking for more work, so I guess I haven't been too inspired on the drawing front.

First one is oil pastel, ink, & white charcoal on cardboard.

Second one is pencil & Photoshop.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Your variety of styles is impressive.
Are you allowed some freedom when you do colorist works?
I especially like Nighttime visitors, very immersive, suggestive and expressive.

Leo Ki - Thanks! When coloring comics, I do have a lot of freedom for color choices and painting styles. Some colors are fixed (costumes etc), and notes are taken from the script, for time of day, or specific locations--it can be a lot of fun.

A small update before the end of the year. It was hard to do more work this past month because of the holidays, and general lack of energy/enthusiasm.

First is my holiday card for friends and clients, then the latest "Illustration Friday" piece, on the theme of "voices." Thanks for looking and best wishes in the New Year!

Your variety of styles and execution is nice!!! Very cool color choices and compositions all the way around. I particularly adore the tin man piece, the doc ock and can of beans pics, but their were many others just as strong! Good stuff man!

Scareybunny - Thanks! That cellphone illo is one of my favs too.

themightykwan - thanks! I'm happy with the way the tin man piece came together. Adding the bottom part was a late development, but increased my satisfaction with the piece. The Doc Ock and beans pieces are just me having fun.

aprentice - Thanks! I have a blast doing comic book characters in that style.

chriis.zed - Thanks! I guess I'm going to have to do more like Doc Ock now.

Baggend - Thanks alot! I'm working on more stuff.

It's been awhile since I posted--I had a dry spell over the Christmas holidays and into January. I'm starting to shake the rust off. Here are some recent sketchbook pieces, with Photoshop color, a sketchbook pastel mask, and some horror concept art. I need to work up some pieces for the world horror convention art show. I'm still trying to find my way in what is a new genre for me.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Time for my monthly post! Here's some stuff I'm kicking around for the art show at the World Horror Con. The skull/head is a quickie that I may or may not use. Maybe it was just some fun experimenting.

The floating head has some preliminary color on it, and needs to be finished--hopefully soon.

    Thanks for looking!

    small update

I really should have more pieces done, but I guess I've been a little busy with other work & stuff. Here's a speed paint of the "Red Skull," a Captain America foe, and some reworking of an older piece. Thanks for looking.

Awe man this stuff is hot. I love your art. I laughed at the Doc Ock one and the beans monster one is my favorite. Do you have prints for sale?

    something, something new

Such a long time between posts. A person could think I've become lazy and quit working. Not the case though, just readjusting my schedule and trying to enjoy the summer.

Here's some new stuff, including "Where the Wild Things Are" fan art (I haven't seen the movie yet), and an update on a more complicated piece I've been slowly working on in my spare time.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Here's a color version of the "Expression" piece, along with a poster for a kid's event at a local convention. Finally, some sketch cards I did at the same convention, while at my table in Artists' Alley. The sketch cards are 2.5x3.5 inches.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    my new infrequent update

I really should be drawing and painting more. All I have to show recently are these pieces. Some sketchbook stuff, Illustration Friday & Artorder challenges.

    Medusa

A new post in my much neglected thread! This is a repaint of an old piece, that I took renewed interest in. I'm not entirely happy with the composition, so I may tweak it a little in the future.

    Thanks for looking.
